Nobody is disputing they will have to prove it. He's going to have a hard time proving it wasn't wilful though. Read the indictment. It includes a mile long list of advisors who told Trump he lost the election. They have him privately acknowledging he lost the election. They have him saying that Sidney Powell (Kraken lady) was a crackpot. They also have testimony from the Vice President saying that when he told him there was no grounds to overturn he election, Trump told Pence "you're too honest".

Let's be honest though Pete, he could be found guilty in court and you guys will immediately pivot to the arguing the court itself is corrupt. Right wing media are already telegraphing this.

But agree on the last paragraph, it's already whats happened with election, voting laws, DOJ, FBI and anyone else who doesn't believe they won the 2020 election.

When they start a criminal investigation, the DA presents it's evidence to a grand jury and they vote on whether or not to indict. The indictment itself is not evidence. It's merely a formal accusation (charges). Then there is an arraignment where the charges are explained to the defendant, and they will either plead guilty or not guilty. If they plead not guilty, it will go to trial and prosecutors will have to present their evidence in court.

The part of this I always found confusing was the difference between a grand jury and a trial jury. A grand jury only hears one side of the argument (the governments side) and they only vote on whether to bring charges. A trial jury will hear both sides of the argument, and ultimately decide on whether to convict the defendant.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt..you din't actually either read my post or didn't understand it.

I will say again...if you have nothing to hide you don't prevent accountability by trying to silence and jail those who question the election. You also be objective when evidence is presented and investigate it...not try and sue and criminally litigate those who bring forward evidence.

Simple question, unlike 2020 do you believe elections going forward should be completely fair and transparent and that only legal voters should be permitted to partake in them?
