can only handle so much shit in one day so outta here. Trumpy lovers - well done and enjoy. Surprised by such a strong result but thats democracy and the people have spoken.
Now lets see how he performs in office taking over a booming economy, record share market highs etc. Surely only upwards from here Donald. Look forward to seeing how he goes and genuinely want the US to keep doing well - its absolutely in our interests - and hope his 20%+ tariffs doesnt lead to economic protectionism war (which is quite likely)

It doesn't really matter who the dems bring in and what they say. They would have to be centre/right to gain any sort of traction with republican or new trump supporters and then they would be moving away from their party ethos.

I don’t follow American politics so I’ve paid no attention to either parties policies. I’m referring to the American people preferring his policies with controlling their borders being a key one. Now how he proposes to do that, now he will have to follow through.

But....in terms of economics, they are our fourth biggest trading partner. Fifth if you club the EU together.
Given Trumps insular politics expect that to slide moreso.
Genuine concern about AUKUS though. Big impact for us in SA.
Will be interesting to see when he will Veto Ukraine's NATO membership and stop all military support of them to let his old mate Putin "stop the war".

He's just making the point that the voters look to be deciding on policies rather than the man/woman.
I wonder if it was Hulk Hogan's support that tipped the balance in Trumps favour.
And yet no one cares about their politics.
China (then Japan and South Korea) have a bigger impact on us, yet very few Aussies could even name their Leaders.
Agree with most of what you say here. But I can see them taking advantage of the USA weakening.
China won't invade us. They will just control us economically. Heck they already do.
And the US, regardless of Democratic/Republican President will do little to actually help.
AUKUS aside, I don't see how Trump being in charge has any real impact on us.
Just highlights how dumb and easily manipulated Americans are.
