So the Muslim votes for Trump, how the heck do they think Trump will solve the Middle East crisis in their favour? Just bizarre.

agreed. there was an article i read recently - i think on bloomberg - saying intl logistics groups were seeing a surge in enquiries from professional people looking at relocating out of the US if Trump won. Like Putins war and 1m brain drain of the smartest young people leaving Russia.

No it doesn’t. Sure some love him but if it was that he would have won last time.
Clearly a large number have ignore his faults and focussed on his policies, which they believe are better for America than lefty policies.
Plus she’s a shocking candidate, so she’s hardly going to win over undecided voters and it’s showing.
But in the end, right policies win over lefty ideology even with someone like Trump in charge.

Dumbed down possibly but a lot of the population are sick of being told by entitled and wealthy celebrities that they should vote Dem. That and being told why they shouldn’t vote for Trump, rather than why they should vote for Harris is a flawed strategy the Dems.
But he did win last time. Just ask him.
i was hoping they would look at his record inc all of the things on my last post. Him wanting to give MASSIVE tax cuts to billionaires (actually top 5% of income earners) and ask lower paid workers to pay more tax. That his 20% (or more) import duties will materially move up the level of inflation, therefore keeping interest rates high, as most goods go up in price. Oh, and that causes a recession also. Dont listen to me - top economists from top Unis and Investment banks agree - as does Elon Musk. Dont worry that Obama care helps the low-middle class more than the rich.
Now I am right of centre here in Australia but I just assumed a disgusting individual could never get up again. perhaps my hopes for humanity are too high
PS By George, I love people now coming on to the thread for effectively the first time as experts saying 'of course she was never going to win'. would have been nice to see such brave statements BEFORE the election result haha.

So how bad are the left that they are going to lose to Trump? Perhaps they need to look at that rather than thinking Americans are just w***ers.
the real question now looks to be how long has Trump got left as Pres? He is showing clear signs of cognitive decline and also physical decline (soiling himself). at some point he becomes like Biden and will need to move over to Vance over the next 4 years i would think.
and i certainly hope this isnt the case as all political violence is abhorrent to me, but he is the most likely president to have potential 'incidents' occur over coming years. 2 times already in the last 4 months

I personally don't understand why we take so much stock in US politics anyway.
It is a country in decline and for Australia our biggest economic partner is China.
Oh the US will protect us?
Did the US help us when China stopped imports after we questioned COVID. Nope.
And China have no desire to cause war. They use economic sanctions to get what they want. US probably couldn't help us even if China decided to invade us anyway.
