Both parties have had poor leadership over time.

Personally I don't believe in rewarding shit leadership.

Imo, if you vote for someone who is poor because you have always voted for the party, you are a sheep.
You vote for the leader/figurehead, I vote for the party that most suits my beliefs and who has policies I agree with.

No, re-read what i posted... I said I vote for leadership which means the team not just the leader!

The bottom line is i think who i will vote for, where you have already decided regardless of whom the leadership is!

I'm a swinging voter because imo no party in my lifetime has warranted staying in power forever.

I think that's a pretty reasonable view for probably 60% of the country.

Medicare needs to be free that it needs to be free for, GPs to hit me and others like me a bit more.

Happy for surgeries and life saving things to be fully covered.
Our whole tax system needs an overhaul!

You cant make this up.

The top google searches since the election are

What is a Tariff?
How can I change my vote?

Of all the stupidity. How about you do your research before the ****ing election

Nah, if it all turns to shit, they only have themselves to blame. If it means they lose their jobs well, it isn’t as if you weren’t warned. Put simply, you are accountable and responsible for your own actions.

I hope the uber wealthy celebrities follow through with their threat of leaving if Trump won but of course we all know they are certified bullshitters and will just keep bitching and moaning.

They're the reason a lot of voters supported Trump most likely. Telling struggling Americans battling to feed their families and survive the cost of living the last few years under Biden/Harris how to vote was the last straw.

Another go - have you ever been to the USA?

Well the Democrat governors of California, New Jersey, Illinois and Massachusetts have already stated there won’t be any deporting on immigrants.

So it looks like he will have to concentrate on Texas and Florida to do it.

As I’ve said get the popcorn ready, it is going to be an interesting couple of years leading into the midterms.

I wouldn't have thought immigration would be a state responsibility, they've got their own jobs to do policing state laws.

Well you would be wrong and Democrat Governors have made it clear.

Now this is where the US has problems, very little is controlled on a national level. The USA is like Europe, each state with its own responsibilities.

Well I think the US people are over families in the White House ie Bush, Clinton etc.

Not sure they will want another Trump in there for 4 years.
No doubt... but if I were a betting person, reckon Trump will prefer to attempt to get his son to succeed him.

Are you seriously on this piss?

Like when did you ever vote ALP (I won’t ever both to consider the Greens)?

So full of shit.

Well at least I got a good laugh from your post.

Apparently Bicks voted for Hawke, but gather voted coalition for the past 40 years.

This is my whole point - the leadership team is irrelevant to Bicks as he's voting for the same party regardless of performance.

Personally I weight up all alternatives & vote based on whom I think is the best party to take us forward... regardless of whom the party is. I have voted for different parties in the past 2 elections.

Holy ****

That is seriously scary stuff. I knew a lot of that but seeing it all together is mind blowing. I never want to hear about “legacy media’s left leaning” shit again after seeing this. Putin and his Oligarchs is a replicable model it seems, esp with both Trump AND Musks close relationship with Russia. Now telling Europe to not touch Musk. This is all so ***** up and very scary

What have Trump supporters said about this? Or have they gone quiet?

Agree.

Don’t believe he has ever wavered from Coalition.

In 2019, couldn’t vote for either Morrison or Shorten. Voted for Howard in 1998 as I agree with GST but it must be across the board (with increase in pensions to cover the essential items etc).

I just came across this. Worth watching. I'm going to follow her for a while to see what she puts out as a lot of the economic problems she mentioned in the US could equally apply here

She doesn't mention any of the policy changes in this clip + a link to her page

Agreed. I have been a swing voter at times over the last couple of decades after mainly voting Howard during his era. Had hopes for Turnbull but he really disappointed and also felt last election with Albo vs ScoMo as possibly the worst candidates we had seen. In the 80’s / 90’s we actually had some real quality - Hawke, Keating, Howard, Dr Hewsons Fightback. It’s all gone to shit now though. It really shouldn’t be hard for other posters to work out.

Bring back Keatings full time joke writer on staff

Same stuff happening all around the world. . Real wages (after allowing for inflation) has been going backwards for huge chunks of population. Even worse in Oz with property prices artificially high with the world’s most generous tax incentives for property investors. Surprised our younger generations are just taking it to be honest. I would be much more angry with the generational inequities if I was them

I can taste the salt from here. Here’s something to cheer you up.

Nah, more concerned we are on the brink of world war 3, which is the time for calm intelligent leaders who don't sprout crap constantly.

But then I gather you believed he could end the Ukraine war as he claimed within a week. Wonder why Putin is smiling now.

I prefer to listen to intelligent leaders, but I wouldn't expect less from a Pies supporter...

So you would have voted Democrat after their abysmal failures over the last 4 years I take it?

Other than your hate on Trump the person you think a Harris Government should get another term when she's been a big part of the last 4 years including backing a clearly demented Biden as being fit for the next 4 years, thankfully even the party rissoled him in the end. The voters soon realised she was nothing more than a vacuous vessel the Democrats were foistng on them

Trump was voted one of the worst presidents the 1st time around. Nearly everyone who worked closely with him the 1st time around has warned the USA public about voting for him... including his own vice-president!

Prefer to go for an unknown than a proven poor leader. Also, given the warring countries, this is time for a calm & measured leader... not someone who sprouts the 1st thing that comes into his head.

If the US president is as influential in maintaining peace as many seem to believe, then surely you would be after change from the current regime. Trump is an a-hole but I don’t think he’s a warmonger.

Problem is he is close to Putin. Trump solution is likely to be for Ukraine to give up territory. Then Putin will just invade another country.

Meanwhile the UN is next to useless...

It Trump can end both major wars without Ukraine losing territory, I will be 1st on here to congratulate him.
