Gonna be interesting watching the Trump supporters on here still support him when the tarrifs come in and we are paying more for just about everything in Australia due to tarrif wars and those interests rates go up and rent.

Imagine if the Democrats had made these appointments - not many of them have been made on the basis of experience, all have been made on the basis of loyalty to Trump.

hard to see inflation not being negatively impacted by 20-60% tariffs. And also hard to see how other countries - like China - putting on similar protectionist measures as retribution

End result - higher inflation, higher interest rates and lower GDP - GLOBALLY

It could well be the end of the US century as China overtakes US on all fronts in the next 4 years - economically, military and global reach and influence (political).

This is not a joke. This is a very seriously smart person saying they are HORRIFIED by the re-election and already by these initial appointments. The world could be in a much worse place in 4 years time inc Ukraine caving in and Taiwan invaded.

Like you really dont need to be that smart to work these things out. Currently US is leading the way in bringing down inflation to target range of circa 2% whilst having good GDP growth and low U/E. Lets see where things are after 6-12 mths of Trumps policies

The other thing i didnt mention re family member chat - and I 100% do NOT WANT this to happen as political violence is abhorrent - but they agreed with my notion that Trump is most at risk of home grown threats relative to any President in recent decades.
