There is of course, no problem with people having a positive view of Hird or EFC. I haven't hung either of them yet "legally". I think they have serious ethical issues the club needs to sort out, but they may not have technically broken the rules.

Having said that, Tracy Holmes isn't the person I would look to for AFL news, or ethical in put on the nature of this crisis and its - PR spin/media frenzy/EFC code of silence (except for positive puff stuff), etc.

For those old enough Tracey was going to be host on 7 for the 2000 olympics with stan grant . They lets say were caught out , while stan was married, they were given the flick from 7. Stan ended up working in hong kong and now is on sky news

For those really old enough you'd remember she started on the ABC in 1989, she was the host of Grandstand on ABC radio nation wide, she was a star of the ABC's + commercial radio's joint coverage of 1992 Barcelona Olympics, ( George Grljusich and Benny Pike used to dote on her - and she loved it) and she was the sports reader on Andrew Denton's - Live and Sweaty and Libbi Gorr's - Elle McFeast Live sports/comedy shows.

So she has credentials as a sports reporter like HG Nelson has credentials as a comentator??? ( Interestingly L@S was mooted to have been the inspiration behind "the footy show" , and I still maintain that "the house from hell" was far better than big brother ).

How do you figure that out? She played the straight reporter on a sports comedy show not the other way round. She left the ABC around 1998, worked for SOCOG for a couple of years, before 7 picked her up in early 2000 to help head up their Olympic coverage with Bruce. Then the affair with Grant which started, which probably wasn't an affair as Grant had separated with his missus, upset Kerry Stokes as Grant headed up Today Tonight, and 6-8 weeks before the Olympics started, he booted them out both off Ch 7.

And Johanna Griggs picked up the gig and never looked back at 7.

It's only become a character and ethics issue due to it failing to be a use of banned substance issue and some posters can't handle that at all.:D

He lost all credibility when it was revealed he worked with Shane Charter, the "architect" behind Shane Woewodins brownlow pre-season, another client was Ben Cousins, anyone remember his particularly strong pre-season where he managed to transform himself from an outside runner with a frame to match, to a hulky inside mid with a frame that takes years to acquire, not months.

The bloke they call Doctor Ageless, who was also charged for being caught with enough pseudoephedrine to keep the cold away for a century.

A bloke who was introduced to Woewodin by Danny Corcoran who was performance manager at Melbourne at the time and is now a key figure at Essendon.

Who really thinks there's nothing foul, you'd have to be barking mad. There's a reason why Vlad called for his head, it's going to be lopped off one way or another.

So basically a cheap newsreader ( ie ABC , Live and Sweaty , think several levels below Carrie Bickmore when she was on Rove ) who has little integrity ( affair ). So I'm thinking someone who is able to read from the teleprompt without a problem.

Have you got shit for brains or something. She was the host of ABC Grandstand nearly every weekend for 7 years and was the anchor host of the ABC's 2 Olympic Broadcasts in 1992 and 1996. Yes the ABC have to cut costs so she filled in and read the sports stuff on a comedy show or two. Big deal!! Then SOCOG head hunt her to be their PR person because the CEO was a bloody ordinary salesman. Then the host broadcaster pinched her to be the face of their Olympics coverage along with Bruce.

If you can't see that she had enough talent and ability that the ABC made her the first ever female host of a national sports program, SOCOG head hunted her and then Ch 7 head hunted to be one of their faces of the Olympics, then you obviously can't see much more than a couple inches in front of yourself.

I'm curious whether she is an Essendon supporter though as my opinion is that the Golden Boy is a proven liar after the whole Matthew Knights shafting.
