That’s like saying someone is the worst test cricketer of all time because they’ve scored more ducks than anyone else.

What about the plethora of players who’ve a) not been good enough to play many tests and b) have made ducks far more regularly when they HAVE played?

His biggest crime in earning this ‘title’ seems to be “regularly playing for sides who make finals every season.”

A mediocre player with 30 finals appearances is going to have a lot more memorably shit performances than a mediocre player with 5 isn’t he.

100%, That’s the difference between powerful clubs and minnows. We get a dynasty and b2b with Castanga in the team, others can’t do it with Nick Riewoldt, Ablett’s and Pendlebury. It’s almost as if team systems are more important to win premierships rather than 1v1s in the modern era. Weird.

But yes, Castanga is by far the worst 3x premiership player. Don’t think he will be beaten. Better than Rohan though.

Someone posted a footy classified clip on the Geelong board which was criticising Geelong's finals, I think after last year, and it was highlighting Rohan. Not sure if it was career stats or just for that particular season but he was averaging like 1 touch and 0.3 goals less in finals than in the H&A. Not like he is Dustin Martin in the regular season and Neon Leon in finals.....
