Is it against the rules to throw a teammate?

Pretty sure i read somewhere that if there's a kick after the siren no player can assist in propelling a team mate into the air, can't remember where i read it, could have dreamed it, not sure.

As for the OPs question, i don't know.

Rugby union lineouts spring to mind by lifting a team mate. Dont know why something similar hasnt been attempted in the afl in regards to getting extra height to defend the goal line.

I’m pretty sure this is accurate:

15.3 FREE KICKS RELATING TO DISPOSAL OF THE TEAMMATE

15.3.1 Correct Disposal

A Player Correctly Disposes of the teammate if the Player Kicks or Handballs the teammate.

15.3.2 Incorrect Disposal and Payment of Free Kick

When the teammate is in play, a Free Kick shall be awarded against a Player who hands the teammate to another Player or throws the teammate

So there we have it folks - it is against the rules to throw a teammate :drunk:
