Do you protest about the whales and sharks and stop fishing as the hooks hurt the fish.

Great bump. How bloody good is this time of year? How did everyone go on the weekend? Had Anode in the Tapp-Craig on Saturday. Took 3.6 fixed early in the week, very easy watch. Shocking day at sha tin yesterday gave most of it back unfortunately.
The Caulfield carnival continues Wednesday then into their big cup day on Saturday. Will wait for final fields and barrier draws etc to post tips.
Good luck all and happy punting 🤞

How good is it.

Had Pericles in the Hill but don't think he seen the distance. Probably a miler.

Hit Antino in the Toorak and Here to Shock in Sydney. Antino was some performance.

Think the criticism of the track was a bit unfair. Jimmystar and Antino not just won but absolutely brained them from behind. Grinzinger Belle natural leader who has done that before, and with Deny Knowledge you can't just let the leader stroll 3-4 lengths clear at the 1000m and then whinge its leader bias. In fact in that race Atishu made plenty of ground from the back despite the horrid decisions of jockeys to give the leader such a huge headstart.

Massive day with Caulfield Cup and Everest in Syd this weekend. I've liked Buckaroo and I Wish I Win a long way out so hopefully draws are kind.

That ride on antino was elite. Absolute gun B Shinn.

Better than being a sissy man.
“Once these dogs aren’t making money, they are treated like rubbish and discarded.”

The case is not an isolated one. In September the Victorian Racing Tribunal found a registered public trainer and breeder had brought the industry into disrepute by having a dog unnecessarily euthanised in 2022.

The tribunal heard that the experienced trainer had told a vet there was a lameness issue and had repeatedly asked her to “just euthanise the dog”.

They did not allow the greyhound to be medically examined before the procedure but the vet told the tribunal it “did not appear injured and there was no obvious fracture” and it was standing “OK on all four legs”.

The tribunal determined the trainer made “no effort at all” to rehome the greyhound and deemed the euthanasia “unnecessary”. Penalty findings for the case are ongoing and have been requested in written form due to the trainer’s “aggressive outbursts” during the hearing.

In another case from 2022, a different trainer was found by the tribunal to have euthanised nine dogs between 2016 and 2019 without any effort to rehome them and without notifying the body that oversees the industry, Greyhound Racing Victoria.

Well heres a solution. Feed the slow dogs to the fast horses. Feed the slow horses to the fast dogs.

What about **** fighting?

Yeah that's pretty *Ed up too.

In China they have Bear Fights too

Point is, most Greyhound owners and trainers love and respect their doggos and treat them right, naturally there is a couple of bad eggs (usually foreign syndicate flogs) who mistreat them.

Unfortunately plenty of rogues.
I agree 95% are good.
But 5 % bad eggs should be rubbed out. Usually people with poor facilities and too many dogs for them to afford.
Reality is animal welfare costs money.
