I think it is, the current one doesn't cut it for mine, the logo I have posted as the original which is at the bottom, might not be the absolute original but it is far more recognisable and easily identifiable, would be interested in other ppl thoughts on this.
The club reverted back to North Melbourne lets revert back to the original logo as well.

I like the old logo but don't think that we can go back. Would like to see that NORTH MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB being more prominent i.e. maybe in black and/or bold.

Current one is ok, but the older is the original and best.

When clubs decide to change its image..........colours, patterns, logo etc I'd like to see it put to the members as vote.

Example - Option 1, Option 2, Option 3 or Status Quo.

I'd love it to go back to the original, but it's not something that bothers me that much.

However, I don't own any of the modern day gear like Guernsey's, caps etc.... I am a bit nostalgic and have a lot of the old day stuff, heck I still occasionally wear an NZI top, with 41 (McAdam) on the back!

The change of theme song & the Argentina strip annoyed me a lot more.

Example - Option 1, Option 2, Option 3 or Status Quo.

I'm not sure four old blokes in denim playing variations on the same 3-chord song is a very good representation of where we're at as a club.

That should hold it for a while, I will have a look around though and see if I can find the staple gun.

Yeah I like that one too... and the 80s/90s logo. Hence my avatar for a bit of a combo.

As Limerick said though, we're unlikely to go back... but some more North Melbourne branding would be nice. It always seemed a bit redundant to me to have the word "KANGAROOS" written under a picture of a Kangaroo. Plus there's the all the negative connotations of the whole Kangaroos rebranding exercise. Not to mention our domain name is now NMFC...

Wouldn't mind something like this:

I like Moose's avatar in post #13. Says it all, I reckon. Where'd it come from?

I'm assuming it's custom made, because 'Victoria amat curam' doesn't make sense. It should read 'Amat victoria curam'.

Well, shit. I just took it from the 60s shield above... in that case I guess the foremost fold of the scroll is supposed to be read first? Clearly my ignorance of Latin is only rivaled by my ignorance of heraldry.

Fixed now anyway, thanks for pointing it out. And yeah it is a custom job, although pinched in large part from the logo they use for the Shinboner Spirit rewards program.

Glad to be of help. That's an awesome logo design by the way, incorporates the best elements of all the past designs.

Tsiay Kayoay oosemay alloymay.

Can be a bit tricky for the newcomers.

On the shield I do like the old style but would like North Melbourne seen.

Perhaps the board can run a competition and see who can come up with a suitable alternative, all that have been posted are far better than the current monstrosity.

A Latin scholar if ever I saw one.

But it's such a friendly looking (benign) wallaby;) . Why don't you like it.

Are you sure, bonenofshin? According to the excellent research in the thread below, its likely means Victory loves care - broadly victory goes to the one who prepares the best. I have discounted the suggestion that it means hams are cured in Victoria St - a reference to the original shinboners.

Moose, you might have to change back your avatar.o_O

I don't claim to be a Latin scholar, but I've never seen that phrase written with that syntax, whereas I have seen amat victoria curam around the place a few times. As for the Wikipedia page, AFL-related pages on the site generally seem to be written by fans, often with a powerful bias. It's always been my assumption that it was written in the page erroneously by someone who read the scroll under that logo from left to right. Can't know that for sure, but the lack of a source listed for the claim (and my total inability to find any information linking victoria amat curam to the club) would seem to support that theory.
