Is Nick Daicos The Best First Year Player Of All Time?

Has the luxury of playing for the Premiership favourite. Put him in a s**t side like North Melbourne or Port Adelaide and see how he goes. Horne-Francis clone.

Also gets three quarters of his possessions uncontested so needs to be given the ball. Pretty finisher that's all.

Also gets 4 goals a game kicked on him going back the other way - no accountability.

Also zero finals BOG's, can't be that good.

Also everyone talks about his good games. What about the poor games he plays, nobody talks about them. Rd 2 2022 just for one of many examples - 1 score involvement, pathetic.

Also loses 30% of his defensive 1 v 1's, shocking number.

Also won 2 offensive 1 v 1's in his whole career. Two!

Also, eye test, never seen him take a hanger, or crash a pack or assert himself physically in any way. His highlights package is sane - the worst thing you can have said about you.

Maybe best first year wide receiver of all time. :)
So in other words he wins 70% of his defensive 1 on 1s. For a loose wide receiver doesn't sound too bad...

Are you going bring Dustin Martin into the conversation shortly?

30,000 Port supporters there, they were up and about after Round 1. Mate has a roadhouse in Bordertown, said they got swamped by Port supporters making the trip, busier than 2004 & 2007 Grand Finals he said. He does have a new updated menu though with hand breaded donuts, so maybe it is that.
So it was Port supporters booing the kid?

31,000 Joffa disciples make a lot of noise when they get excited

Incorrect.

He loses 30%. He wins 0.4 defensive 1 v 1's per match. And the rest he halves. But in his case the halved ones are probably halved again. Because the opponent whilst not taking possession is probably tapping the ball to advantage while the oldest person in his draft pool is devising some sneaky way to get his next easy stat.

This is a player who avoids getting into 1 v 1 contests at all possible costs.

It actually says something that the Meteoric Stats Sheet Analyst is going to all this effort to talk down Nick Daicos in the same way he has Gary Ablett Senior.

Very interesting.
Best first year player means **** all. But anyone that can’t acknowledge he’s a special talent is just being a knob because it’s Collingwood.

He is right though, HBF is the easiest possie on the ground to play, just have a watch of the Rioli kid, couldn't get a kick on the HFF, so they moved him back, we just use Nick as a HFF who plays HBF is all

Give them confidence straight away by putting them in an easy position. What a stupid idea from a coach. North doing the same with Cheezels and he’s killing it.

Yeah I agree, I wish we had the Rioli kid, best 1st year player ever.
I’m sure if you asked most people who they thought the best first year player of all time is Daniel Rioli would get the bulk of the nominations. I’d rather admit Nick isn’t in the conversation because I wouldn’t have a clue really, than make up stupid shit that makes you look like a knob
