God, what absolute bullshit. Umpiring under 9’s doesn’t equate to playing at a standard of footy where hangers are regularly taken.

Pack marks - multiple players to leap into/on top of, easier to balance, less likely to give away a free kick or be seen with hands in the back, easier to judge the flight and the highest point due to multiple players all tracking the same kick.

Walker was basically a small run up behind 1 player and whilst the timing was perfect, he got too bloody high forcing a chest mark - the only knock on the mark. He jumped on Carlisle’s shoulders with no help from his arms or any security of landing on other players around him.

Seriously, only a delusional, one-eyed peanut would think Krakouers mark was better.
There must be a heap of 'delusional, one-eyed peanuts' out there, given Krakouer's mark is in the record books as the 2011 Mark of the Year over Walker's, as determined by the public vote...

It must be a tough year for you.

The AFL ladder tells you that Carlton had a better season than Collingwood.

The AFL umpires tell you that Patrick Cripps had a better season than Nick Daicos.

And the public vote tells you that Harley Reid kicked a better goal than any from Nick Daicos .

And allow those things are in the record books.

Lol, received 1% more votes (42% v 41%) that were submitted on an online forum - some real big brain Collingwood fans doing thorough analysis on the complexities of the marks there for sure. In other words, yes - there are a ridiculous amount of Collingwood one-eyed peanuts out there.

Wonder why Walkers mark was labelled as mark of the decade in 2019 then, as acknowledged by the AFL. Weird.

Oh well, I'll stream the 2023 Grand Final if I'm effected too much.

Cripps a worthy Brownlow Medallist, as Daicos was a worthy Coaches Award winner.

Reid a worthy Goal of the Year winner, great that Daicos had the other two nominations.

No mention of Mark of the Year? I'm sure you'll think of a Carlton player who was robbed of it...

No mention of Carlton's head to head record against Collingwood in 2024, or Carlton's humiliating Elimination Final performance?

Can go into 2025 with confidence that Collingwood know what it takes to contend in the modern era, whilst also knowing that Carlton don't.

So all good for Pies supporters!

So 42% of all voters were 'delusional, one eyed peanuts'?

Oh no, another conspiracy!

Good of you to concede that Carlton had a better season than Collingwood in 2024 because as you say "it's on the record".

Not heeding Chris de Burgh's warning when he told you not to pay the Perryman (at least till he gets you to the other side) and splurging a 1st and a 2nd on Schultz gives the impression that the lunatics may well have taken over the asylum now that Graeme Wright has flown the coop. Time will tell I guess.

We all have plenty of old premiership videos that we can watch. Your team are no longer the reigning premiers and your streaming of the 2023 game is now just watching an older historical game. You have a minimum of 12 months before you can say that your team can finish higher than Carlton on the ladder (and possibly longer).

'Premiership videos'....

VHS was outdated in about 1998!

But well done on finishing above Collingwood in 2024 - such an amazing achievement for your football club!

Thank you for your acknowledgement.

You've been dining out on "reigning premiers" for so long but sadly for you the waiters have collected the plates, cleaned the rest of the restaurant and are waiting for you to leave so that they can turn off the lights and go home.

Melting this hard about a mark of the year over a decade ago. :$

All good.

We can still refer to the '2023 Premiership', meaning ALL posters on here will have been alive to see it, in comparison to the majority of Carlton supporters who weren't alive to have seen Carlton's most 'recent' premiership...

Wrong thread mate.

I notice Nick Daicos is outright favourite for the 2025 Brownlow Medal, in the same way as he started 2024 as the outright favourite for the Brownlow Medal.

Yet another measure that can be used to see who is rated the best player in the competition.

I reckon GAJ started the season as Brownlow Medal favourite in every year between 2008 and 2015 (8 years) - Cats supporters, is that correct? May have also been 2016?

Let's see how many years Daicos starts the season as Brownlow Medal favourite - he's currently at 2, and he's still only 21...

So a player is currently favourite for the brownlow and all is good and well in the world.
On the flip side Carlton are 3rd favourite for the flag and the odds are bulllcrap to you.
Gotta laugh

Daicos has contended for the previous two Brownlow Medals.

Carlton haven't contended for a premiership in over two decades.
