It was noted in his draft that he is an in and under midfielder only. He doesn't really play in other positions. His skill set is very specialised and if he is not played in that position he is really good at then he is going to struggle.
Yep, a kid straight out of the draft is going to be exactly the same size for his whole career. No 18 year old has ever put muscle and strength on after a few big pre-seasons.....

Midfielders develop far quicker than key forwards. But McDonald has had the better start.

Hodge and Fyfe are two players that didn't even play the first four rounds of their rookie year. They seemed to turn out okay.
