Best in the AFL at the moment but he is still a dirty prick. Not saying this cause I barack for North, I've just never liked him. Taggers like Ling, Rawlings and Hocking I actually don't mind.

Scott Thompson is known for similar scragging tactics.

^ I was going to mention pinching in my earlier post but forgot. He does that a lot, especially to players on the ground. Also thought his dive/acting as if he'd been smashed in the face with a hammer was a disgrace too.

So now that Crowley has been charged with pinching can you still say he plays within the laws? He holds, bumps, pins players to the ground and obviously pinches. He's as dirty as they come

Lucky he didn't get fined for staging too

If they were serious about those charges Lindsay Thomas and Scott Thompson would have been in debt with the fines they'd paid

agree with big moose there not here to shag spiders here play a win football games a few north supporters a just venting atm

Ryan O'Keefe is the best defensive minded midfielder in the AFL. I wouldn't call O'Keefe a tagger but he plays on the best midfielders every week like Pendlebury, Watson, Scott Thompson etc. and nullifies their influence while winning plenty of the ball himself plus lays about 10 tackles a game and is a weapon around the stoppages. Accountable midfielders who can attack as well are a lot more valuable than taggers.

Crowley only survives in Ross Lyon's system. Crowley offers nothing going forward and regularly turns his back on the play just to stop his opponent. Lyon puts mass numbers around the ball and empties his forward line more than any other coach and with all those numbers around the ball you can afford to have a midfielder turn his back on the play and just tag an opponent.

Crowley's defensive game is massively overrated, he is the only midfielder in the game that has the license to stop his opponent at all costs without having to worry about winning his own ball.

And he does it brilliantly. Won more of his own ball than boomer did on the weekend too. Also it seems to be working for freo so I don't really see the harm.

i like andrew carrazzo better. i also recall seeing him tug harveys shirt to stop him from getting a run on to the ball at one stage which i think is kinda dirty but i do it all the time when i play soccer sooo...

He's the only player to have effectively tagged griffen this year so there's that. But I vote no because I hate him and his dirty tactics. so there :p

Sam Kerridge kept Griff to only 15 disposals at 12% efficiency in Round 4.

Griffen got injured halfway through the third term and played no further part.
