Absolute balderdash. Players from the other 'pathetic' SANFL clubs made up quite a few of Port's better players and still do...Wingard a prime example. If only those pathetic teams were providing players to the Crows only right now!

Go on the Port board these kinds of statements are everywhere...still trying to get over the one from yesterday by a Port fan who said Dangerfield is a seagull who only does the pretty things after someone gives him the ball....he then backed the argument up with statistics showing Dangerfield has more contested possessions and clearances than any other Port player.....lol....with logic like that what can you do?

For the fans, you could alternate bays for each showdown, e.g...

Bays
1,2,3,4, etc...
A,P,A,P - First Showdown
P,A,P,A - Second Showdown

Seats unoccupied in each bay can be offered to other members of the relevant club.

All unsold seats are open to the general public.

Club corporates and functions would still tie in to the home team at the time.

Also, give members ability to buy away showdown as part of annual membership package.

Took the loss well I see & still bitter AFC came into the AFL before Port.

These type of posts give your supporters a bad name.
 
Derby wise around Australia, the Showdown is best however I think in years to come the A-League Sydney and Melbourne derbies will over take in terms of atmosphere and hate as the rivalry and history grows as these derbies are still in there early days.

the operative words were back then.

1) back then, there was Port, Norwood and 8 other pathetic sides including woodville
1.5) It could be argued Sturt was not pathetic, so I would grant that as a possible exception
2) Now, the whole SANFL is a development league but in being that it ruins the achievements of great SA footballers pre mid 90s

how old were you when PAFC first submitted a proposal to join the AFL? did you even go to an SANFL game pre the cows?

a well organised plan and desire to have AFL representation or one of desperation to block Port's submission?

That said Norwood were the hardest done by, by the formation of the cows. They were a great club and have had their rightful spot in the AFL usurped by the cows.

The SANFL have been a hindrance to Port, Norwood and football in general in SA. It makes me laugh to think glenelg and woodville have effective equal representation as norwood under the cows. Explain to me how that is not pathetic and not unjust to norwood?
