Good get for the Crows and Giants really.
Cumming's good years in 2021 and 2022 were very good. But he struggled a bit with injury in 2024 and Kingsley changed his role a bit in 2023. As he was Unrestricted he was always going to attract a bit of a bidding war and drive his price up.
Assuming the Crows know how they want to use him I think they've done well

We understood his value. Just like we understand Cumming, Perryman & Peatling's value... We can't afford to over pay players as we need the extra money for players like Finn Callaghan, Leek Aleer, Briggs, Tom Green, Toby Green, Darcy Jones, Sam Taylor, Jack Buckley, Harry Himmelberg, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, Connor Idun, Jesse Hogan, Aaron Cadman, Brent Daniels, Lachie Ash... You know?

Nice stalk but not sure what your point is. Great player when he's playing, which is not often.
Now I know why you sound so bitter about Cumming leaving but not Perryman. Again, we have Darren Burgess.
Point is, I think you’re more disappointed than you’re letting on
Especially as this is the first season he’s really been injury-affected
That's the intent of the AFL with the lopsided compensation being award to gws for average players.

You make 2024 sound like this has been the issue for his entire career.
Darren Burgess would have done Cumming medical and would back himself on resolving the soft tissue issue

Rankine got suspended for 4 weeks after returning from his hammy and then missed the last game after being KO in the Showdown.He did his hammy the same game he got suspended.
