I've said my piece about Israel and their treatment of Palestinians has been appalling for a number of decades.

You seem more interested in winning an internet argument than discussing the actual issue.

There's enough evidence that the Israeli army have thrown out the rule book on protecting civilians.
Eg they used to warn by knocking on roofs before blowing up civilian houses and they haven't targeted ambulances before.

They wanted - and believed they were promised by the British (via the Balfour Declaration) a homeland in Palestine. After the horrors of the Holocaust, they argued that they would only be truly safe if they had a state of their own. The same as the Palestinians want a state of their own.
