We are supposed to believe the brutality Hamas has shown isn't reflective of the entire Palestinian population, yet we see crowds of civilians, including children, hitting and spitting on the brutalized, naked dead bodies of murdered Israelis and westerners (inlcuding young women).

Nope. Not buying it.

That failing is directly on the NSW government.

It was a deliberately provocative move and one that was not appropriate for a nation whose official foreign policy is for a two state solution.

We are never lighting up national landmarks for solidarity with Palestine every time the shoe is on the other foot.

The NSW government failed its people by inciting this.
Only fanatics like you agree with this.

So when you go to a footy game, you just assume that the rest of Australia goes for the home team, because there sure seems to be a lot of them around?

Those sites aren't going to be very liveable soon.
The Holy sites will be fine because most of them were originally Jewish sites. Plus almost all Jews and Muslims are pretty respectful of either sides religious sites. Even the nutters on both sides who love to kill eachother will pause before damaging a site (not surprising given how close the religions actually are)

Can't rule out Hamas damaging a holy site as their leadership will do anything to inspire hatred but they should be safe as your average Hamas murderer who would have to conduct the attack would hesitate to follow those orders.

Peace in the Middle East is such an impossible concept that it's basically a punchline. That's because it happens far away, to people who don't look like us, talk like us or think like us, but it's getting closer and closer as we saw out side the Opera House and currently at the State Library in Melbourne. It's an incredibly complicated situation, it must be keeping Crazy Joe up at night. Keeping track of who's pissed off at who at any given moment requires more flowcharts than a Christopher Nolan movie. This is really happening and it's closer to us all here now than ever before, if you're thinking tonight that all the explosions, machine guns and body armor bringing to mind images of Mad Max style, post-apocalyptic towns devoid of modern comforts, you're more right than you know.

At the very least they might have stopped it once it got to "gassing"

No excuse for the people to come out and chant vile shit. Oh but its always someone else's fault. You have to take responsibility for your own actions living here, and the actions of a lot of that crowd were criminal.

It's not, their is a minority in Palestine, and this is not their battle. This is a pharisee vs muslim battle and I just hope the rest of the world mind their own buisness and don't help either side, let them sort it out among themselves
yet we see crowds of civilians, including children, hitting and spitting on the brutalized, naked dead bodies of murdered Israelis and westerners (inlcuding young women).
They would be muslim palestinians doing that because they're the ones that support muslim hamas. So I believe it's stupid to believe that muslim Palestinians wouldn't support muslim hamas.

"Israel has brought this on themselves"

You are normalizing the behavior of animals. Do better.
Animals are made due to growing up in trauma. Maybe Israel should do better and look to de-escalate the situation. Israel as a state gets painted as an innocent victim when that could not be further from the truth

Yawn. Just another moron pedaling anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Hamas - a terrorist organisation - have undertaken the systematic and calculated murder of Jews. They have no interest in 'de-escalation'. They have no interest in peace nor do they want a two state solution.

They want Jews wiped off the face of the earth. And here you are supporting it through what I can only hope is complete ignorance.

you are an utter nut job mate

the fact you allowed to post in this thread is remarkable.

Apologies if this has been raised and resolved during the opening 38 pages of this thread, but surely Mossad must be having a long hard look in the mirror after the weekend's attack onto Israeli soil?

Media are reporting this as "Israel's 9/11", but at least the attack on the WTC in 2011 didn't require the collaboration and silence of literally hundreds of combatants.

Sure the CIA dropped the ball big time in the lead-up to 9/11, but the sheer scale of participants in the Hamas incursion/attack knocks the CIA's oversight into a cocked hat in comparison to that of Israel's failure at an intelligence level?
