I'll be the one laughing in the end as the A-League are forced to re-admit the likes of South Melbourne to prop up their ailing league in a year or two

Your predictions are becoming more true by the day!

Only you could have foreseen the failure of the A-League!

Everyone said you were a complete tosser.... a fool ... a 'spazzer' .... some moron from a dodgy suburb in Melbourne.... but I digress. You saw the new league for what it was, and no-one would listen!
But you can now have the last laugh- surely soon the FFA will come to its senses and re-admit South Melbourne before its too late! It is so obvious now!!

You are a genius little dude...

The Victorys crowd dropped 30% from there 1st home game to there 2nd. Thats not including the supposed thousands who couldnt get in in week 1 lol. And likely theyll be down under 10,000 for the first time in there 3rd home game.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaha.

I'm not even a Victory fan but I can't help but laugh at how much of an utter tw*t you are. Once again:

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaha!

:D :D :D

I don't think the crowds in Gosford have been terrible considering almost every home game they've had has been played in torrential rain.

The Knights are a worry though.

I agree. When you need a snorkel to watch football, things are dire. Well bl00dy done to the Mariners fans for getting a hard core of 6,500 to turn up in all conditions.

Knoughts. Oh dear. The NZ experiment has not worked since the Kungz entered the NSL. Serious thought must be given to replacing them with a team from Canberra or FNQ asap. I'd rather see 5000 in Bruce Stadium... (at least there'd be some away support from SFC/NU/CC and maybe MV/AU.

One that concerns me is the Jets. Their crowds have been steadily dropping. They have been crap (missing players etc) and they were good against us. Unfortunately they haven't really turned it on in front of the people that matter....Novacastrians. Something needs to be done here, RFN.
JETS: 13,162 (AU), 9,127 (SFC), 7,495 (NZ), 7,436 (QR), 5,868 (PG) Total: 43,088 Ave: 8,618

Just thinking, how far of a paradigm shift is it when we are bitching about crowds at Aussie Football games between 6-8,000 as being too low and a bit of a worry! Viva le revolution!

Yeah, I think the A-League is going very well thus far! Average crowd of about 11'500 over the season so far which far exceeds the lowly ~4000 average of the old NSL in 2004. A couple of clubs (Sydney, QLD and Melbourne) would even be among the top attended in the NRL on average crowds in 2005.... Crisis time, no way!

Syd, melb and Qld are to be expected though, huge cities thats where most of the support will come from. I dont see anything to warrant a crisis, although alarm bells definately ringing for new zealand, central coast and Newcastle. 2 derbies their between the jets and mariners fail to crack 10k, then you have Perth and Adelaide crowds slowly sliding comapred to the past.

3 out of the 8 teams have been a huge success, whether the other 5, 3 in particular can get their act together will probably decide the future of this league.

Mind you 4,000 in 2004 for the nsl is an excellent average considering no t.v coverage, no radio coverage eg sen and promoting on nova and an unstable governing body with pretty much no funds. I think the crowds in gosford, newcastle and Aucklund are really starting to show how well south really did.

lol to be honest the first post i was just trolling but its actually really amazing to read the difference between attitudes of football from the 2001 till now and how much has changed, i am a football fan first but got a casual interest in AFL, i'll come in here every so often and not troll and actually try to contribute

apologies for my original intentions which was just to bump one topic up a lot
