West Coast have become the most hated team in the comp this year, and for good reason. Not all teams are perfect, but I'm pretty sure everyone is smart enough to understand why eagles receive the hate (apart from eagles supporters themselves).

judd's a star though.

Judd's poo nugget from 1998 > cousins

Compare it to Collingwood supporters, giving Kouta a standing ovation yesterday, a champion player of a foe that they have lost GF's against, had brawls, etc.

A bit different. One's a champion of the modern game who recently retired.

The other's a very talented footballer who showed today that in the minutes he wasn't focused on being a pr**k how good he can be, but will never be a champion. Not in a million years.

Well done to Freo. Deserved to win the game today, but it's nice to see the old "let's get ourselves up for only two games a year, stuff the other 20" philosophy is still ringing as loud as that idiot with the bell at their home games.

This is a load of crap. For anyone who watched the game, you know that josh carr is a #$%$face. And does not deserve to play in the AFL.

We need red and yellow cards. Just for idiots like him. Lucky to get hand-off goals. Other than that most of his game was spent pulling jumpers and starting fights.

Then he gets boo'd and you cry about it. This is footy, teach him to play it and then maybe he will get some respect.

*throwing sh!t at him was a bit over the top, but he deserved it nonetheless. Frustrated supporters do stupid things.

Still Josh Carr is a pathetic excuse for a footballer.

I hate to state the obvious, but you seem a pretty pathetic excuse for a fan. Then again, you are an Eagles fan.

Mate, thats just the sort of player he is.... Nothing necessarily wrong with that, other than the fact that opposition supporters hate it :p

I just think that SOMETIMES he focuses more on getting under the skin of the other guy than focusing on his own game.... But this was one of his best in a long time by my book. Cousins also was one of the easiest to succumb to his niggling in a while too..

You lot really have gone soft. When Port Adelaide played Collingwood at the G in Round 4, we were expecting to be abused all game long. Yet, we never heard a thing.

Does this mean the AFL has killed off the feral Collingwood supporter? Please tell me this is not true.:(

The booing of Josh Carr was unsportsmanlike.
The throwing of objects at players was straight from Victoria Park, circa the late 80's.

Still, in last years' prelim the Eagles gave Smith a standing ovation as he was chaired from the field, credit due to at least a large group of fans in teh West.

Yeah, i bet you feel some deep seeded sympathy for Josh Carr, After supporting liber for 280 odd games, it must be instinct to go for the dirty players.

Nice..

Nah mate, I think he is a jerk. I never liked the tactics Libba employed in his tagging years and would love if the AFL made it harder for his kind to survive. Is it that hard for an Eagles fan to believe a fan might not defend everything their club does?

West Coast Eagles supporters have taken over from Collingwood's as the most unsportsmanlike & feral supporters in the AFL.
Not sure about the "most unsportmanlike and feral Supporters" tag going to West Coast...we worked long and hard to earn the mantle down here at Pieland and like everything traditional will not give it up without a fight...LOL

You do however have the longest and most unusual moniker I have seen on these forums and just had to let you know.

If you're using feralness as a measuring stick, I don't think Collingwood supporters have ever outdone Richmond or Port supporters. At least we have a full set of chromosomes.

WC supporters have been pretty unbearable over the last couple of years, though.

Having a full set of female chromosomes isn't something every Collingwood supporter should be boasting about. I mean, with the lack of a full set of teeth being the universal characteristic of a Pies fan, it's hardly attractive...

No comparison at all.
Kouta has been one of the greatest players of the last decade, Josh Carr is just a dirty scragger. Looking back over every physical incident that occured in the game, i think Carr was in almost all of them. He was holding onto a blue and gold guernsey for most of the day.
Somehow he managed to get a stack of possessions in spite of his continued attempts to start melees.
He deserves a round of applause...
and a couple of bottles thrown at him.

What was the deal with the booing of Carr anyway? What'd he do?

Dirty players deserve all they get. Our most notorious scraggers are Chick and Selwood. Chick was in a few casual biffs with the Carr boys, but Selwood controlled himself brilliantly today to blanket Bell for most of the game.

And I don't think the West Coast supporters booing Carr for being an idiot today was nearly as bad as those Dockers supporters who boo'ed Judd for simply being too good a while ago. Put it in perspective please.

Fremantle supporters are much more unsportsmanlike than WC ones.

The Kouta comparison..

To me it's comparable, Carr is fair game to get booed during the game. He won the medal, his side won the match, booing him during the match and then when he receives the medal are 2 different matters. It's sour grapes, pathetic sportsmanlike behaviour.

I haven't made my mind up but I was a bit uneasy seeing Eagles fans give Cousins a standing ovation when he returned against Sydney.

No its not comparable at all

Carr can be compared to Judd - Who got equally booed after winning the Rossy. as both are still playing and are part of the rival club thats to be expected (obviously you didn't see this match, or many other matches between rivals because this stuff happens all the time)

Kouta can be compared to Rohan and Harvey, both of whom we gave standing ovations to (rohan in his last game) and Harvey, when the Saints BEAT US. I think thats good sportsmanship

Cousins is held in high regard in the club so even if he did the wrong thing he did offer a lot of courage and spirit I guess. But I understand if you didnt enjoy Cousins return

they can boo who they like. I found it quite amusing but it would have been more effective if they hadn't have lost

But their incessant booing of decisions when they don't understand the rules tends to annoy me.

Yeah, funny that. Dirty players, dirty tactics just like Libatore - whose fault is that? Certainly not West Coasts. Josh Carr is just one of those.
