Because they were shit, and 25k grounds are pointless. My point was relating to the small ground people want now for small games, that would be used half a dozen times a year, it's a ridiculous expectation to have a ground solely for that. They may as well have the slightly larger one that will remain useful as the crowds grow.

Only because etihad caters so poorly for smaller games, which are increasinG in number with expansion teams

My point generally is the current admin have done a much better job with organizing playing venues. ( metricon, adelaide oval, showgrounds than previous admins. Etihad Waverley stadium australia

Waverley was closed because the etihad investors insisted on it.

Thats a good a case as any thata the place could have been upgraded and flourished. Ian Dicker was putting together a consortium to pay out the afl.
He was is a good businessman but not corrupt like the tools who got etihad up and going

Graeme Samuel board...

We'll see what the tool does for the NRL

Hawf can't even exhaust their allocation of tickets to blockbusters at the 'G'. How the faarrk are they gonna get their bandwagoners to trek all the way out to Arctic Park to make this decision even slightly viable? o_O

So are 50k grounds, put another 10k into Etihad like they had the option to do and it would be so much better

Well they're getting public transport......

So yeah the time is right.

And just when I thought I saw the worst of humanity getting stuck in a car for hours on end with a bunch of campaigners around us, now you’re telling me I have to ride on a tram for an hour with a bunch of campaigners around me?

A decent ground in the south east corridor would benefit the comp!

It's been a long time. Some of you never knew Waverley - I tell you what though, Waverley was:

A) Hawthorn to the core (still is)
B) Honest insofar you knew what you were getting and Waverley delivered
C) Not really liked by non Hawthorn fans, could never understand this

I say it's time to bring Waverley back. The people will be ecstatic. The Bay will erupt.
