There is no way Australia could pull out of the Olympics.
Just looking at Melbourne this morning and you know how stuffed up Victoria really is...I didn't think it was possible that we would have a worse Government than the one led by Dan the man, but Jacinta is already making a play for the title. A sad day.

Feds are putting in $3.5Bn already for Olympics infrastructure. I suspect it wasn't a party poll but some lobbying firm.

If they go down a hack slash and burn strategy then nope. They'll be gone in a single election. If they keep the infrastructure build going then they will last more than a term.

I don't have any intel. The same few will use it to get Pesutto out of there. Either way, the court case is only a win for the current government. Neither the plaintiff or respondent or the party they are both a member of can win if it goes ahead.

Anyone who votes her (and had voted Dan in 2022) is selfish and complicit in the destruction of this state.
Anyone who lives in Melbourne knows this city died and hasn’t recovered from the crippling lockdowns. The spirit of the city was sucked out of it, and the campaign against those who spoke out and didn’t comply with rules was disgusting.
They came to office promising they’d cut the public service, now it’s the biggest public service in this states history with all the added bureaucracy at every level.
Highest taxed in the country, and every class, whether your lower-middle or upper is bearing the brunt of incompetence.
Couldn’t care less you got a level crossing removed in your area, when you see the level of debt, corruption (are you surprised with the CFMEU stuff it’s the biggest open secret out there), bureaucracy and COVID mismanagement of the highest order - don’t try defend any of this.
And mind you the other lot are a disgrace too, let’s not even go there. What a toilet bowl state

The long-time academics’ union boss appointed to help clean up the Victorian CFMEU branch has suddenly resigned just weeks after his appointment.
Grahame McCulloch, a former communist, was appointed in late August to take over the branch once controlled by John Setka after the federal government pushed the CFMEU into administration.

The increase in people working from home is leaving Southbank traders in dire straits as they continue to adapt to the market challenges spurred on by the pandemic.
People aren't going into the office like the used to. Worlds changed forever on that front.
Why should people be forced into to the office and spend 10.60 a day and travel for up to an hour just to prop up some bar?
