Certain posters will mimic Labor MP's and say the conditions of roads is due to flood damage that occurred in.... 2022. That may be the case. But why is it that roads in NSW & QLD, which both receive 4X the rainfall of Victoria didn't suffer the same damage, and why haven't the roads been repaired yet?

They definitely need to increase funding though. With record number of cars, trucks and extra heavy EVs, roads will be hard to maintain for any government. Can't believe those Aholes took the vic government to court over the EV road user tarrifs.

The report clearly states further down the reduction was due to a large decrease in misc offences like covid fines. The stat for serious crime actually jumped.

Lol, have you been to Glen Waverley recently? It's extremely densely populated and getting denser. Much more populated than Tarneit for example.

Anywhere in the South East is densely populated it's the fastest growing corridor in the state and 1 of the biggest nationally. For all her faults the government has identified this and putting the SRL through there makes sense.

Crimes per 100,000 population were only higher in 2016 (over the past 10 years). But still, it's pretty consistent, not a sustained upward trend. Certainly not something which is getting out of hand. It was worse, and in better financial times.

Stats for serious crimes jumped in lots of states. Henny Penny is carrying on as though we are the only state with crime. DV jumped 1% in Victoria and 7% in NSW and 13% in WA for example. Qld has more DV offenders than Vic despite them having a much smaller population. No one is saying Vic is perfect and crime free, but it's no bigger issue here than most other states.

The ALP smear campaign has started!

The sheer hypocrisy of Labor basing its current campaign on Battin being the "Cuts" man when (A) it is Labor that is responsible for the state net debt bill per Victorian being on track to exceed $25,000 by 2027-28; and (B) Labor has already slashed costs in so many areas including Roads, Law & Order, Health, Community Services, just to be able to focus Big Build projects with cost over runs.

And the levels of corruption by the Andrews government makes anything the LNP opposition do or did in recent memory pale into insignificance. Just ask Deborah Glass the Andrews appointed now former Victoria's ombudsman. She said this:

"There are multiple findings that we have seen in previous reports where "grey corruption" conduct (of the Andrews government) falls short of criminal because of the very high threshold for corruption findings that we have here in Victoria, but is wrong, it is unethical, it is improper, it breaches codes,"

We've seen enough from Gladys and Scott in recent years to know it's going to be the same with the Vic LNP. There's a reason the LNP fight so hard to avoid independent auditors.
