Honestly what piece of s**t films a footy player having a line and takes it to the media?

I literally had Brendan fevola knock on my car window smashed out of his mind in the middle of the night asking for a lift down the road which I happily gave while he hung his head out the window smoking a cigarette and yelling at every person we drove past... all in the middle of his alcohol saga in the media.

Did I think for once to * him over? As much as I hate Carlton and didn't really like the bloke, no. People are allowed to have a life outside of footy.

Look what happened to Thomas and Keeffe. They took illicit drugs and those drugs ended up having a banned performance enhancing substance in them. They were both then suspended from playing for 2 years as a result. These AFL players can have a life, but there is no way of knowing what ingredients is in these drugs. Jack is a dickhead and he is lucky he got away with only a 4 match suspension.

I disagree. Firstly, I don't buy into the fact that their coke was cut with clen.. that's literally how you make someone have an instant heart attack. And it's too expensive to be using as a cutter.

Secondly, although he shouldn't be using drugs, it's off season where his performance probably doesn't have to be at it's absolute best. Would be more upset if he got caught during the season.

Reality is coke is everywhere these days and a LOT of players are on it. He was just unlucky enough that some opportunistic prick decided to film him in the toilets.

ask yourself your own question.

occasional drug use, like occasional wine consumption, doesn't equate to raging alcoholic or drug pig.

extremes are always bad

is this to hard to understand?

Great reasoning.

A little bit doesn’t hurt anyone…..

Yeah until it does….

Ginnivan can snort his brains out if he wants. Simply, leave the contractual obligation he signed and do what you like…..

Chill out Ronnie - if you get yourself this worked up every time a footballer does a line of coke, your head will explode.

I can give you way worse examples of alcohol deaths. Yet most think it's normal as it's legal.

If it was illegal and he was caught in a cubicle having a shot of whisky, you same people would be freaking out.

Come on FJ you’re being ridiculous….

I can use the same logic.

How would the club have viewed him had he been eating KFC all off season and came back 15kg over weight and not having done any of his preparatory training himself before coming back to preseason.

Drugs are illicit.

Alcohol or his calorie intake aren’t.

However, All have consequences.

He has contractual obligations. Just like any employee. And he has broken his contract.

I don’t. As I don’t see the need. Personal choice. The pleasures of life are far better enjoyed being present in the moment and not hallucinating within it.

I fully understand what alcohol does and have seen first hand what the consequences are.

i see the need............................. for you

Yes my friend the contractual obligations I can agree with. Just like with any professional job I guess.
The problem is young blokes with to much cash to splash.

The only thing I can't agree with is eventhough alcohol is legal. It's the #1 drug killer.
Same as gambling. Destroys families and lives. And yet the AFL pushes these stupid betting agencies. Makes me sick.

Don't you have to be over 18 years plus old to gamble?
On the flipside anyone can buy a lotto ticket. Because the government makes money off lotto and grog.

hey, take my comments word for word, sentence by sentence... please explain the poor reasoning

The legend just keeps growing.

How long until he shoots someone.

Edit: jokes aside, yes he shouldn't do coke, he's pretty unlucky to be caught given how many young blokes use this stuff.

Not a huge deal unless he does it, what, one more time this year? Or three times in the next five seasons.

Thought you would be more libertarian Ron. Doing lines has been romanticised by so many movies et al. Yes, it’s a contract breach but for every kid it’s a cool/naughty thing to do. Dumb to get caught.

Don’t get yourself bent out of shape old boy.

It’s the normalization of it that I can’t accept. Let’s just legalize it and let there be a free for all. And let’s see the outcomes……

Maybe then this ludicrous argument between alcohol and illicit drugs will no longer be a comparison.

At this moment I’d swap him for Grundy and you know how much I like Grundy.

The Bailey Smith outcome pissed me right off. And HQ have now painted themselves into a corner. Because their poster child Bailey had them exposed and looking like fools.

So they brought out the wet lettuce leaf.

I just knew there was a self-whipping thing going on.

Lettuce leaf... phwf... add water as mentioned.

Don’t get me started on gambling advertising. We’ll be here all night.

I’m just waiting until they change the status of the league to sports entertainment…..
