Coach didn't seem to agree. Hope Ginni pulls his finger out.
He didn't seem to mad, just thought he shouldn't have gone. But you can't live these kids lives, you have to guide them to make better choices. And he's still growing and learning as they go on, as fly said. The kid will be right.

I don’t really care about him going to the valley last night for an hour.

I care about his on-field performances throughout the finals series, and he’s borderline for our best 23 and needs to improve to become an auto-selection in 2024. I’m hoping there will be significant pressure applied by Reef, Harrison, even Allan and shuffle the magnets, maybe Tay forward to provide the pressure that Ginni mostly doesn’t… but the team that stands still gets bypassed quickly.

So the role Tay play most of the year?

Yes, for however long he and Mitchell can maintain that job share. I’m giving very little credence to the trade rumours.

Nothing to do with luck at all. What do you know about success compared to him?
While Taylor Adams and McStay are cursing their injuries, Ginnivan is at the horse races.
Ginnivan was lucky to start and didn’t appreciate it.
Eating carbs, drinking water and sleeping is the way to prepare running 14 km and playing the best game of your life. Not being at Moonee Valley.
Was the worst on ground.
Luck for him we won.

Didn't have the game I had hoped for him and unfortunately couldn't capitalise on the 3 moments he was elevated into the 22 for.

The first was the strange decision to kick the ball around his body for goal when a drop punt from that distance was required.

His second chance at goal wasn't an easy one but it's the type of dribble kick they love to practice and in a game where Brisbane were kicking goals out their arse we needed it at that moment.

The third opportunity was the kick to Hill in the last that needed to be put out in front of him but instead traveled to high and long and advantaged Starcevich.

What the future holds for him is a debate that can wait.

Tonight he's just a 20yo kid who was part of a Collingwood Premiership winning team.

Enjoy the moment.
Well said.

What?
He went there for an hour because a friends horse was racing.
He wasn't on the piss. He wasn't out till all hours of the night.
If he had gone and visited his grandmother for that one hour would you be upset?

Stop sugarcoating it.

Worst on ground for us cause at least Billy nullified Harris in the first half.

Going to the races the night before Granny cause his mate had a nag running is the most pathetic excuse I've ever heard and that was after he was supposed to be earning back respect after his tumultuous start to the year.

His head is not in the right place and unlike younger Jordy this can't be written off as boys will be boys or the even more laughable young man will learn excuses.

Get ****en rid of him while we're still a chance to scab some second rounder for him.

ps. this post would get a truckload of likes had we lost.

Exactly what is wrong with going to the races.

If he was home in bed at a decent time and wasn't on the piss then why is going to the races different to visiting a friend and playing video games.

I don't get it.

He didn't play well but that had nothing to do with watching some horses run around.

What should he have been doing according to you.

I'll admit I didn't have an issue with it at the time. Then I watched him play yesterday and all I'll say is he's lucky we won cause if we lost this would've been cherrypicked by the media (Kane Cornes) as the reason we lost.

Heard him post game on SEN, say he wants to do a big preseason to play in the midfield.

Whatever his game yesterday was like, I like he has such big aspirations. He’s maturing.

It’s not unusual for players to have ordinary games in grand finals. Some stand up. Some struggle on the day.

Ginnivan has had very limited game time for weeks now and it caught up.

He would not have been the reason that we could have lost yesterday that probably been what happened to Murph but we covered that like we did Jack,s down day like we have most of the season, to be honest I do not think Beau was much better he was very nervous.
I am hoping both learn from this and are better in their future GF,s as I do not think this is the last for either,I am not putting s--- on any of our players today I am so relieved that we won.

Players have quiet games but they were all trying of that I am certain.

Ps Jack you need a big pre season and it has to start asap because there are boys in the 2nds who will be hungry after this which is great for the club.
