Toast Jack Gunston

The thing that I noticed about Gunston was his temperament in the first few minutes of the game. Dawson dropped his hips in a contest and Gunners spun out of it and then Dawson let him know about it like you whimped it. Gunners did not get sucked in he basically out smarted Lyon's golden child tough man Dawson for the rest of the game and kicks 4 goals.

He is a clever footballer and reads the ball well. Good example of brains over braun as I think Dawson played on him most of the game.

Normie's certainly pushing his case for the top 10 players born in 1991.

Steele Sidebottom, Jack's Gunning for your No. 1 spot.

Steele F******g Sidebottom?
No 1 spot?

Another overrated average Collingwood player.

Sidebottom is so overrated that he's overrated at being overrated!

.

The best thing about his GF performance is that it's just the beginning, he only gets better when he's the main man in our team. He showed this last year, and once that body starts filling out, we're all going wind up back with no. 19 on our jumpers.

Terrific Finals Series , particularly the Prelim and GF with 4 in each.
Very elusive and clever with a great goal sense , inspired pick up from the Crows :thumbsu:

1. Jack nearly won the Norm Smith

2. Jarman played one Grand Final for Hawthorn - and did SFA.

I know who I'd want.

.
Oi i was a young kid. Don't diss! I adored the dude.

Sorry, not having a go at you personally, just the Jarman lovers.

I tend to judge Hawthorn players mainly by their performances in Premierships.
Jarman spent most of the 1991 Grand Final on the bench. Then ran back to Adelaide.

Gunner will be a gun!

Hardly his fault he was on the bench and got no game time, it was the way the game was played back then.

No, those were the days when the interchange was used to keep the duds off the ground.

Jarman was taken off early and not brought back on.
He froze - and did nothing.

Errr...Jarman performed brilliantly in the 97/ 98 premierships. Hauls of 6 goals and 5 goals!!

Gunston paying $34 for Coleman medal next year, get on it!

When Franklin missed those six weeks last year Gunston kicked 18 goals from six matches. He showed promise as a leading CHF with great speed off the mark. Despite his lightly built frame, I'm very confident Gunston can take on the responsibility of being our second key forward. In fact I reckon he will thrive in this role with more ball directed to him. He'll grow into that role with more games under his belt and who know's, he may even be our number one full forward down the track. He's had two outstanding seasons and fitted into our game plan perfectely. The scary thing is, he isn't even close to reaching his peak yet. :thumbsu:

Great game from Gunner's....All Class....Would have been lost up forward without him!

Won the game for us...and that chap down back Litherland + Smith...strange game ..lots of players fumbling and missing targets.....was there..and was genuinely fearful of a loss...whilst GWS had 107 tackles and waltzed the ball with aplomb around the right flank all game.....

...am I right in saying this is the second game (+$ydney) I've seen a team beat us and..run the ball through the right side of their attacking wing and flank...is there a weakness through that side
