Jack Riewoldt will be the AFL's best KPF in 2012

Haha wow jack darling mentioned in the same sentence as jack riewoldt there's a new one:rolleyes:

I'm happy to have the main man down at tigerland so severely underrated by opposition supporters. Fact is he kicks the most goals and I'm 99% sure he has the most goal assists of any other key forward. Sure, might not be as easy on the eye as buddy's style of play but jack is the MOST EFFECTIVE key forward in the competition.
Keep hating everyone, will only make it more sweeter when Jack lights up september :)

Jack is the best forward in the league .

He is a genuine striker that kicks more goals than any one else in the league
Not only that but he also sets up more goals for his teammates than any of his peers. If that doesn't make him the best than I don't know what does?

Furthermore he is also willing to sacrifice his game for his team which has elevated his play to another level over the last couple of years.
Is being coached perfectly and is improving every year.

Has genuine football smarts, poise and class, and will only get better as vickery and the team improves around him.

Wears his heart on his sleeve but we don't mind our big kp Tasmanians like that at Richmond :)

Heart and soul player who loves the jumper that the fans will appreciate more and more as his career goes on, especially as he has richos loyalty trait as well.

Great player .

The usual horseshit.

Record v opponent's position on the ladder, 2010-current:

Ladder pos|Gls|Gms|Avg|E(X)
\1st - 4th|48|15|3.20|1.03
\5th - 8th|60|22|2.73|0.88
\9th - 12th|55|19|2.89|0.93
\13th +|82|23|3.57|1.15
\Total|245|79|3.10|
Travis Cloke's breakdown, to take an example at random, is heavily skewed towards more goals against bottom sides.

As for the myth of "Junk Time Jack" - he's kicked 15 in the first quarter and 9 in the second, i.e. 60% of his goals this year in the first half.

Yep he's a whinger and yep I'd probably hate him if he didn't play for Richmond.

RTB - is that their position on the ladder at the time of playing - or the position on the ladder of the team at the end of the respective season?

Top post. :thumbsu:

I'd kill for Jack Riewoldt to help a developing Daniher in the way Riewoldt does for the young Richmond forwards.

... and he is probably the most one way KPF that has been mentioned.

Doesn't chase, doesn't put pressure on, doesn't tackle.

Since 2010 when he's been the spearhead he averages 2.5 tackles per game - more than Cloke, Hawkins, N.Riewoldt, Walker, Schulz, Tippett, Brown, Pods, Cameron and some smaller players Milne, Harvey, Howe etc.

Ahead of plenty of other tall forwards for one-percenters in 2013.

I think he meant Cloke.I hope so because he hasn't watched Jack much this year going by his post.

Fair enough. Josh Kennedy:

Roughhead is probably the form forward for mine at this stage but Riewoldt is in the top handful. Long way to go in the season and finals though so it might be a different story by the end. Hopefully no injuries for any of them.

And how many this season? He is way down on that list, nor have half those forwards been mentioned before now. How long did it take you to cherry pick the right players?

2013 AVG Tackles

Jack Riewoldt 1.8
Travis Cloke 1
Josh Kennedy 4
Jordan Roughead 2.6
Lance Franklin 3
Jeremy Cameron 1.5
Nick Riewoldt 1.8

Red More
Green Less/equal

So from the list of players compared to J.Riewoldt this season he sits in the middle of the tier. Kennedy clearly out front. I think the Roughead comparison is slightly skewed due to his ruck duties around the ground resulting in more tackles however.

If Darling or Cameron played in Victoria no one would be questioning either of them being talked about in the top 5 KPF's in the competition. Out of interest, how many games have you seen Darling play?

I saw Darling get completely towelled up on Thursday night once the 3rd tall was taken off him in the second half.

#1 defender completely destroyed him.

Just went down the list of leading goalkickers over the last four years and named most of the tall forwards.

Down on tackles this year (1.85) but still above most of the leading tall goalkickers. Has acted as a decoy in a few games and taken himself out of the play.

No tall forward has more goal assists this year.

Next. And no more muppets!
