hardly a big call. he won the coleman in 2010 .

yeah hes really good. no two ways about it.

put simply if the saints had drafted him when we had the chance wed have 2 flags in the last 2 years.

JR can really play.

Call was made when he was on 30 odd goals last year. ;)

Will tear the Sainters defence a new one tonight

The fact that Fev disrupted the playing group, brought team morale down with antics on and off the field and is not playing in the vfl because no-one wanted him has to count in order to consider whether he's better than Jack. Footballers are more than just feet and legs, they're members of a team and a club and Carlton realised this before it was too late.

Jack works hard, helps his teammates out, is willing to work and move out of the 50 and doesn't seem like an absolute pillock. I can also see Riewoldt being able to work within a forward structure that's more than him, and IMO he can play more than just FF, he can be a CHF or third tall.

But this is academic, Fev isn't an afl footy player anymore and wont be ever more IMO.

Bump this up. I made this in 2010, stating he'd be the best in 2012.

It's now 2013, after winning last years Coleman was my call justified? Is he currently the best key forward in the game. I'd take him ahead of Cloke and it'd be very tough with Franklin.

Thoughts?

I'd have him behind Kennedy, Franklin, Saint Nick, Cloke, and Jeremy Cameron considering their comparable output and Cameron getting bugger all supply and having only played 30 odd games.

Edit: I'd have him behind a fit Tex Walker as well

It was a reasonable call.
But he's not the best in the business.

I'd have him easilly ahead of Kennedy and Cameron and marginally ahead of his cousin and Cloke.

Saint Nick will always be a champion, but he isn't that prolific goalkicker that Jack is.

I you were looking purely for a full forward to kick you goals in a Premiership year, who would you target?

BETTER THAN - Cameron, Kennedy

ON PAR - Nick Riewoldt 2013, Cloke, Roughhead.

NOT BETTER THAN - Franklin.

Reasonable call and justified as well.end thread.

It's all well and good to have an opinion but it doesn't make it particularly factual.
You'd be in the minority to take him ahead of Kennedy and Cameron.

Franklin, N Riewoldt, Cloke, Cameron, Kennedy, Walker, Roughead. Probably would be behind Pav too but he has missed most of the season.

Thread title stating, Riewoldt will be the best KPF in 2012. It's 2013.

You can't honestly tell me Cameron and Kennedy are better than him?

lol... Is your post based on potential or stats?
2 x Coleman medal winner - might have a third by the end of the year.
Backs it up by being one of the top players in the league for assists.

Makes me laugh how you put Walker ahead of him but not Pav because pav has missed half the season.

No he is not the best KPF in the game.

Kennedy is, he offers more than just goal kicking. Kennedy is brilliant defensively and also works harder to contest the ball further from goal.

Jack may be more naturally talented but I would rather Kennedy.

Both Cloke and Reiwoldt are far better players when in form.

Pav is past his prime which would have likely showed this year. Feel free to start a poll with Walker or Riewoldt as the preferred options. I don't think it will go well for you
