If he leaves this kid’s going to end up having such a nothing career for a guy who would have gone number 1 in the draft under normal circumstances. Real Tom Scully areas.

Watts over Scully man.

The latter could actually play.

Not sure what the relevance is but Watts had twice the talent of Scully. Regardless, we flipped Watts into Fritsch and Scully into Hogan and then May and Sparrow, so they both served plenty of premiership value.

What does this mean for us non-basketball nuffies?
Superstar as a young player, got injured, came back as still a good player but never the superstar he once was.

Okay then. Move along if you don't want him. We'll find another suitor

Your hardball tactics won't work on us. You tried to squeeze us on Ladhams and we told you to shove it, so now you're in weaker position in relation to Sydney.

You lose.

You think you're still dealing with nuffies who signed off on the Wingard for Picks 15, 35 and Burton trade.
But those days are over, mate. That ship has sailed. Time to find yourselves another sucker club.

We are not budging.

Lol where the **** did that come from? What an odd response to an entirely uncontroversial post.

Mm, sounds like the words of someone about to budge.

Let's not waste each other's time. Either you get serious and say "Yes, we need some midfield support for Brownlow gun Ollie Wines... Travis Boak is slowing down, getting near the end... We got exposed by the Bulldogs midfield... If we wanna take the next step and win the Holy Grail, we need to add some more class and grunt at the coalface... Jaeger is that man... So what price do we put on a premiership? Is a first round draft that much to pay to climb the mountaintop and achieve the impossible dream?"

So how about it?

Or you could play your silly little trade week games, trying to screw over every club, settling for second best with eternal disappointments like Fantasia, Motlop and Dixon... and you'll keep teasing your supporters with Top 8 appearances and September chokes.

The choice is yours: step up and play with the big boys, or settle for second best.

I know you’re just trolling because I’ve seen your other posts around BigFooty, but as far as we are aware, neither Port, nor Jaeger, are interested in each other.

How does that equate to “wasting each other’s time”?

Cool speech bro. Still not sure what this has to do with the post you quoted whatsoever.

Jaeger O'Meara is a superstar

He was in the Top 10 of the coaches votes before he got injured in round 6 and missed the next 3 games

Even your own man Kane Cornes admitted he was wrong and that Jaeger was a superstar
and Kane Cornes is not normally someone to admit his mistakes, or speak shiit, so what does that tell you?

Wines + JOM + Boak = premiership

And you can take that to the bank.

If you think being top 10 in coaches votes for a little over a month makes someone a 'superstar' then you and I have a very different definition of superstar.

Doesn't mean Jaeger isn't good or I wouldn't be happy to see Port give up our first rounder for him. He's not exactly Bont or Petracca though.

Would take him at Swans for 12 in a heartbeat, but just don't see how it makes sense for Hawthorn unless they're going fully nuclear. Even Clarko kept Crawford.
giantsully while JOM is in out top 4 players by playing him is not developing new blood. Yes we may win couple more games but reality is we want to build a list all as one together. Get a pick 16 for JOM pick 15 for Mitchell pick 30 for Gunstan and the list is ripe for future development. Look at this way. If Jack Gunstan had another B&F year we would may not have seen KOSI flourish. Plus we may have won an extra 3 games or so that takes us from pick 5 to around 9. happy for club do rebuild NOW get another crack next year of top 5 pick and then rise and then have a a real opportunity 2025 onwards. Sammy has inherited a list that needs youth. But looks like non of these players hold currency good enough anyway. One thing when comes to extending contracts not sure these playes be asking big contracts.
