I was waiting on someone to bag me LOL. I cant remember what pick Carlsile was but surely his stock has improved since that original pick. He is ready made. And to me I honestly see him being one of the best defenders for spoiling and contested marks. He would still be at Essendon if he could kick straight at goal when he played forward, also he was never happy forward , I myself was never happy as a supporter having him forward.

Slot him in at CHB in a team with a good culture and you have a player that's a season off being AA @ CHB.
Top 10 pick is fair for a young established KPD with tons of potential.

Hoping for a single 1st rounder from either Saints, Bulldogs, North. I think he would be happy at either one of these teams.
Mate, doesn't matter what number you go. It's how you can perform on the big stage. Ben Brown went in the rookie draft. I'm sure if teams had their picks again, he might've gone a lot higher. For every Luke Hodge there's five jack watts who go number one.

Carlilse for Jack Billings is a fair deal imo.

Saints get a quality key back to help out Goddard and Essendon get a classy mid that they are lacking.

LOL

The saints will never ever ever do that.

Pick 5 in a straight swap won't be coming up either. Need to cough up more than that to get pick 5.

You vastly underestimate how much being out of contract devalues Carlisle.

Would do that.

Melksham has no value so he won't be considered.

Zaharakis might be a decent get for St Kilda, still too reliant on 3 mids (Armitage, Steven and Montagna)

But Zaha and Carlisle is the very least as to what it would take.

I'd say Carlisle is worth around 10 - 14 and Zaharakis a late first/early second.

Yes because top 5 picks are guaranteed to land you a superstar player such as a Jack Watts, Richard Tambling, Tom Scully etc.

Marcus Bontempelli and Jake Stringer say otherwise.

They aren't fool proof, but they have a better hit rate than any other method except maybe F/S picks, e.g. Hodge, Judd, Riewoldt, Pendlebury, Roughead, Cameron, Brayshaw, Franklin, Goddard, Delidio, etc etc etc

Who sits around dreaming up this garbage, Billings leaving is up there with the pixies.
I think realistically our only chance of getting something half decent is if the Hawks, Tigers or Roos are willing to part with their firsts.
If its the Saints a couple of second rounders will be the best we can hope for and Id take that if offered.

Okay I think the Carlisle for Billings is ridiculous considering Billings is contracted and a required player at St Kilda, but there is no way Carlisle + Zaharakis = Billings.

I wouldn't do Carlisle for Billings since Carlisle can come for a cheaper price considering that he is uncontracted and doesn't want to play at Essendon.

But 2 second rounders ain't gonna cut it. If that's all St Kilda will offer, then he'll go somewhere else.

Expect this to go to the last day
