I think the two day 1 trade period mature age recruits in ANB (#28) and Darling (#67) is a good baseline for Richards.

He'd be about the middle so mid 40s sounds about there.

Fly is a likeable guy and he doesn’t do much wrong but this rubbed me up the wrong way a bit.

You’ve got a bloke you know is weighing up his future and to so publicly put him under pressure like that isn’t great form.

Doubt it made a difference in his decision and I haven’t heard it so it might’ve been tongue in cheek but it doesn’t sit right with me

It’s not egregious by any stretch and Joe mightn’t have minded at all.

If it were me personally I’d have been pretty uncomfortable when he said it.

Anyway it’s not a big deal, he’ll get to port and either turn into Houston or something else and we will all move on with our lives

Wont come to that. No matter how much it gets threatened, thats a road clubs and manager resist to go down. Because you don't want to have bad blood between clubs, managers, and players that the managers manage who the club may be interested in recruiting down the line.

Might be a fair comment and if so then it’s his right to sign for Collingwood.

Good on him if he does, but the facts are he is valued at pick 40-50
That’s always the market rate for a player in his situation
