The plot thickens .
The mail was the Dog's didn't consider Carlisle a good "cultural" fit ??
How could that have changed ??
I think Talia leaving has made them rethink.
I feel if they have cap room he would be a chance.

Seems to line up with the Talia situation. Carlisle an upgrade on Talia but at much greater cost.
Talia is a good VFL player
Carlisle is a good AFL player
Massive upgrade

Positives outweigh the negatives. Carlisle's attitude problems have also been blown out massively.

Hmmm ,
A backflip like that would hardly signal rock solid conviction to the club/coaches cultural beliefs ...
Forever and a day , clubs have been seduced and altered the set framework ...
Sorry mate what is your point?

A work mate of mine is best mates with a North Melbourne player. Apparently the reason Carlisle has taken so long to announce his preferred club is because it was actually North Melbourne. But Carlisle & North met a couple weeks ago & both sides weren't happy with how the meeting went.

So now Carlisle is deciding who his next preferred club is & apparently it's out of St Kilda or the Doggies. NOT CARLTON.

Has sounded for a while now that Carlisle is not their man .
With the possibility of Adelaide jerking Geelong around re their first rounder , the Dog's may investigate the possibility of Henderson .

Except henderson isn't as good as carlisle + he's a sook too. Carlisle raged on feild, but atleast he still played and didn't walk out on club 3 weeks before season had even ended.

If a cultural fit is what dogs need, then they won't be looking at Henderson over Carlisle.

Well according to Dog's poster's here , the club/coach obviously thought Carlisle was a rotten egg and put a line through his name .

Enter the Talia business and Carlisle is a wanted man again ?

If so , just wondering what happened to the belief that Carlisle wasn't the type of person for Footscray .

Throughout history clubs have been notorious for bending thier own rules in being seduced by the player they convince themselves they need ...

According to bulldogs posters, it was a player who had beef with Carlisle.

Do we really need to state again the one big difference between Carlisle and Henderson pertaining to round one next year ...

Two Planks , any change on his preference? Are Dogs legitimately in the frame or is it still all Carlton?

St Kilda upped offer to 5 years and Carlton lowered their offer to 3 years. Manager has told blues that if they up their offer to 5 years even on less money than saints that is the preferred destination.

The reason he hasn't made public his preference is that he wants a 5 year deal from Carlton and is waiting to hear back from them.

Ball 100% in blues court. Give the 5 and they get the player.

So Dogs not in it at all?
