It seems pick 9 straight is more likely

If we had pick 9 and pick 13 why would we give you 9 and not keep it

All that would happen would be this

Thursday 22 oct 1.50pm
Ameet : Pick 13 for Carlisle
1.51Dodoro: Pick 9
1.52 Ameet : 13
1.55 Dodoro : 9
1.57 Ameet : 13 Final offer or PSD
1.58 Dodoro : Fine 13 deal

Not wasting your time if I'm helping you with your grammar. I think you mean moot point, not mute point. I'm guessing your "Essendon brain" didn't pick up on that either.

You should probably go to sleep so you can pay attention at school tomorrow.
Had a Blues supporter pop over on our board couple months ago with "mute point" was hilarious

Yes you'd have plenty of coin but so do other clubs in that bottom 4.

So what if the other teams have coin, all it takes is Carlisle saying he will refuse a Medical and saying he doesn't want to play for the other teams

He gets through to St Kilda, Can I also point out that ALL Essendon players involved in the supplements scandal have the right to seek legal action to break there contracts under ASADA and government legislation. Therefore should he be picked back up by Essendon, it would be a simple Law suit before he became a DFA and came to the Saints

You won't get both 9 and 13 thats a terrible decision by the crows. The crows are the ones offering the deal. 5 and 25 for 9 and 13 is real bad deal. For the crows to be offering it would surprise me no actually i wouldn't. I would be pissed if they did do such a terrible deal.

So then the saints will just take him as a DFA. The other option is that you are full of shit.

Suppose tomorrow we'll see if things move along. Hopefully both clubs recognize that their current offers are off the table and maybe start working out other deals.

Feel like it's going to take a few other trades to happen before this one finishes seeing as it's now depending on other clubs trading their picks, would be surprised if it's over before the 22nd.

And this kids is why drugs are bad.

"I'd like to f**k my club over to prove a point"

In what way is Carlton taking Carlisle for nothing better than making the best of a bad situation with St Kilda? It's not like the Luke Ball scenario where you're strengthening a premiership contender you're rebuilding a list and need all the picks you can get!
Aish is worth more than whatever St Kilda is looking to give. If Brisbane send Aish to the PSD and we send Carlisle to the PSD, then Carlton take Carlilse, we can take Aish.

That's much better than second rounders in a weak draft that St Kilda want to give us.

Very mature way of looking at it, the Aish deal is not related to Carlisle if you think nothing is better than something good luck to you

Fairly sure that legal action wouldn't work in this case because if he was picked up it would be seen as a new contract and after the period in where players may or may not have been given illegal substances. Think the breaking of contracts would only work for people who were under contract at the time and are still under those contracts now.

This post sums up the narrative that Essendon supporters are putting out there - amazing!!

Okay. Let me put it in a simple way. At the end of the off season, we have:

OUT: Carlisle, Melksham
IN: 24 + Seb Ross, 25
Picks: 4, 23, 24, 25, 41, 59

OR

OUT: Carlisle, Melksham
IN: Aish, 25
Picks: 4, 23, 25, 41, 59

The second scenario is much better than the first. We already have 2 early second rounders. Any Essendon supporter would prefer the second over the first.

In fact, any club would prefer the second over the first

I understood it the first time, thanks. The sense of entitlement is amazing!!! Good luck to you and Essendon - as the title of this post says uncontracted - Jake Carlisle. Not Essendon and what we all should give you

This is fair enough - believe Carlsile is worth somewhere between 12-20 which the Saints do not have (but could package players) therefore there may have to be some dominoes fall

Lol. Wanting the best deal is having sense of entitlement?

If St Kilda really want him (which they obviously do considering that they're offering 700k), they'll find a good deal. If they can get Adelaide's pick 9, then it'll be done fairly quickly.

If they want to continue offering crap, he is going to Carlton and we'll pick up Aish.

Not being realistic is what leads to this. Previously when Hickey was discussed it was dismissed out of hand, he is a damn good player. Then we end up with Essendon picking up Aish and Carlsile going to the PSD ffs

You do not know what has been offered to Carlsile or deals proposed what is known is that he has nominated the Saints the rest is opinion.

What we also know is that pick 5 is off the table. What else do St Kilda have? Unless they can trade in a pick ranging from 7-11, at most 13, then they'll have a hard time getting the deal done.

Still very early, but I've only mentioned the scenario that can take place if a suitable deal cannot be reached. Just reminding certain St Kilda supporters who think a couple of second rounders will get it done that we'll get something better than their proposal by sending him to the PSD.

Good luck to you and Essendon; I can understand other St Kilda supporters saying hope Essendon end up with nothing. You jump straight to discussing the PSD there is a lot to unravel and the level of discussion should be more in depth than that. The fact that HIckey and Ross have been dismissed out of hand by Essendon supporters is concerning I would rather keep them as they are great players.

Yes pick 5 should be of the table so see what happens there is a lot in between that and the PSD and now.
