A lot of teams had a look at him when he signed his last deal. Told not a single one was willing to offer him more than 2 years so he ended up signing with the Dogs who would have preferred he left for a good trade package.

Don't know any details as to what he's actually done wrong to upset everyone but sounds like most clubs will have some hesitations offering him anything long term or coughing up a large sum of draft picks for him.

If he is to leave it will be at the end of next year unless some club offered something ridiculous this offseason otherwise there’s no benefit for us

How many number #1 draft picks in the modern era hardly played in there first season of AFL footy without an injury?

Pretty much played a whole year of VFL first season due to professionalism.
The Dogs got him right for a couple of years but as soon he re-signed his first big dollars it's come down to this.

big warning signs on this kid. no doubt talented.

I don’t think this is correct - he was clearly behind Naughton, Bruce and the English/Martin ruck forward combo in his first season (plus had Schache to compete with). He debuted in Round 17 once he’d had a string of really good VFL games. I don’t think there was ever concerns around his professionalism early. This is a more recent issue

Might be a bit of an Oliver situation.

Clubs won't want to pay full value for him given the circumstances. But if the Doggies ARE willing to let him go for serious unders just to get him out the door, you'd be wondering if you even wanted hm.

It's the exact same as Oliver. They are keen to sell as they think they can get 2 high firsts. Once they realise the offer is a future 2nd (like it was with oliver) you will see all sorts of articles about how much they love jamarra and are welcoming him back into the fold. Ergo he won't get traded this year.

Can someone please explain to me how such a talented player has gone from one of the best prospects in the game, to completely on the nose and at risk of derailing his entire career?

Genuinely, what the hell has happened?
