Aish was good again tonight.

Building on his talent. Good to see. Hopefully he can maintain it until the end of the season!

3. Aish announces himself
Whenever you go to Collingwood on a lucrative long-term deal as a 20-year-old, you're always going to cop some heat if your performances aren't up to scratch. But, despite being dropped, former Lion James Aish never dropped his head and worked doubly hard to return to the team. The youngster has seen a considerable spike in his production in the last month and continued his sparkling form against the Tigers. Aish, who joined the Magpies in a complicated trade that landed the Lions draft points for their Academy graduates, Ryan Bastinac and a future second-round pick, had 18 disposals in one of his best games in the black and white. But it was his ability to unflinchingly mark the ball above his head (three contested marks), often with opponents bearing down, that stood out the most. Still only in his 44th game, the No.7 pick from the 2013 draft has plenty of scope for improvement.

I've never understood the deeply personal attacks towards him. Obviously when he left it was understandable, frustrations high and all that, but he left pretty much a year ago, surely time to ease up on him a bit hey? (Plus his leaving let us get hipwood, keays and basti without trouble so pretty solid for us too)

Regardless, people can attack him all they want but if he maintains his current trajectory it won't matter. Genuinely hope he can keep at it because from every small interaction I had with him over his 2 years at Brisbane he always came across as a really good person.

Was a highlight on a terrible night. He's seriously strong overhead and tough in the contest too. Didn't expect that when he was recruited.
Playing with plenty of confidence now too, taking the game on and looking very assured.

Reminds me of a Jimmy Bartel! Great overhead for his size and always makes the right choice with the ball and finds himself in the correct spot

I don't mind if hes getting 18 to 20 touches with that sort of impact, not everyone can get 30 + a game

Happy to see him have a cracker and show all the doubters what he can do if given the chance. Theres few players in a team that you feel comfortable with the ball in their hand. Hes definitely one of them.

Lots of posters on here bagged him early on....He is only 20 of course he is going to get better....rapt to see him proving our own that he will be a very good player!...hopefully a real star in the future!
Yes they did.
If he ever does anything wrong it's all Buckleys fault.
If he does well, it's all him.
He's improved, playing well.
It's now up to him to continue at these levels

Totally agree. Channel 7 is a disgrace.
Dare I say it, with Bruce at the Olympics we get more BT.
Terrible.

But Andrew gaze doing Olympics is the height of dopiness
