Taylor and McPharlin are far better than Jamison and Rance.

In fact, those two at their best are the only ones worth 800k.

With free agency a players worth has risen. Players can more readily put thiemselves out there for the highest bidder. If a team waants a quality key position player they wil pay. He isn't worth 800k but could justify 600k in the open market.

Bullshit. We are pulling out all stops to secure Frawley and unless something dramatic changes we are in the box seat to get him across. Gaff is hardly the ideal replacement Mitchell and Sewell. We are mostly likely looking at Shiel or O'Rourke from GWS.

Free agency has changed player movement in a big way and expect to see contracts longer and more expensive as we move forward.
Also because someone wants 7 years doesn't mean they will get it.

Any offer to Frawley will be approved by the leadership group and fit within Hawthorn's pay structure and list management

Some players have come to a Hawthorn on less than their original clubs contract (Lake, Burgoyne), while Hale was still being paid partly by North when he switched to the Hawks

No crazy offer just to "get him" will be offered

Article in the Adelaide Advertiser suggesting 800k request. By the end of the season he will be asking for a clubs entire salary cap!!

That was a pretty huge gaff to make. Looking back now , it's looks silly to think that " there sydney swa..." Can be an easy mistake to make with "gws"
