Whately said today that it was brave of Hird to put his name forward for the role but I would argue it isn't bravery, it is narcissism.
So brave.

One gets the feeling it's fate de complete and that the interview process is a farce.
Now that James has put his hand up, if anyone else got the job, he and his supporters will just undermine them anyway.
Welcome back to Essendon James! Now to make Dodoro the CEO and Sheedy president.
I wonder what short cuts they'll bravely try this time around?

Does anyone know if the Bombers approached Brenton Sanderson for the job? I don’t quite understand why he is never part of these conversations.

Also - I’m not Brenton.

Regards

Yeah I can the world is a corrupt place

So it's more likely the entire world, AFL, ASADA and WADA are corrupt and decided to persecute an innocent AFL team, than the possibility it's actually Essendon, with it's history of incompetent management, association with snake oil peddlers and drug smugglers; actually did the wrong thing?

Do you know how insane that sounds? Look up Occam's razor

Yet the afl cleared them of using peds

And wada is a corrupt organaztion they allowed a Russian team compete in the Olympics even tho there was evidence of ped use.

You’re obviously confused.

The corrupt organisation is the AFL, they bent over backwards to make sure that Essendon were protected from sanctions.

An ethical organisation would have suspended Essendon or revoked their license but the AFL puts money above integrity.

Must nearly be time to annoint the great saviour.

Essendon wouldn't let James down by saying he's not the best of that rag tag group of interviewees

Might over shadow the GF lead up
I wonder how the Bombers will take over Grand Final week. They are a PR company after all, not a football club.

They'll try to overshadow Brownlow night with puff pieces in the HS about their last winner of the medal in 1996.

Then during the parade on Friday will be the announcement of the prodigal son's return and his journey back to redemption.

They’re doing it again. They are outcome driven, not process driven.
The PED saga showed that - the place was a shambles. No records kept, no scrutiny of who they hired..
The end result of this coaching saga was known before the process began.
Nothing (reality included) will budge them.
Whatever It Takes to get our predetermined outcome (again)

It's obviously been planned for months, with Hird's part time nothing role at GWS to make it look like he was doing something, to the WWE style entrance at the 150th like he was the Undertaker. Meanwhile the club gaslighted truck Rutten and piled on the media pressure to get him out of the way. All so the golden boy could waltz back in.

It's actually hilarious

This campaigner should be exiled to one of those Antarctic territory islands. Amusing beyond all account that Essendon would even let him back in the door let alone interview for the head coach position.

It's hilarious that they thought it was some brilliantly executed master plan that would fool everyone.

We all saw it from day 1.

Is the Essendon Football Club a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corporation?

It’s breathtaking the positive coverage the Bombers get from that institution.
In the breakdown of one of Hird's trials, it emerged that there were weekly costs charged to News Limited Journalists. His legal team had been giving briefings to News Limited on a weekly basis.

Don't worry, though: the papers will tear him down the second there is blood in the water, with the exception of Robbo who has his excuses lined up for non-performance - "the players let Hird down", "the club betrayed Hird/The Essendon Spirit", "Caro!!!!!", "the media are vultures", "Hird's time was 2013 and the Essendon faithful were robbed of a new dynasty", "The Deep State/AFL House never wanted Hird to succeed".

This is how it’ll play out.

Hird will be appointed.

Media circus ensues

Essendon make claims he was the best candidate

Walls or Lewis speak out saying that’s completely false and advised against it. That’s if a NDA isn’t signed saying they can never discuss it again.

Media circus continues

No matter who is appointed, the media circus will continue

Essendon get's clicks

Essendon will announce Hird as coach on Thursday, and hold their own alternative procession for the club and fans on Friday.

Here's a preview of what they're planning.
