Surely he won't be back as coach. I think they to move on just as the Watson's have stated this week.
I don't believe Wispy thinks they should move on. He just thinks Hirdy should apply for the job in the same manner as every other prospect.

But that is perfect cover for James really. Essendon can say we had a thorough process and concluded the best candidate was the great man.

If Essendon appointed Hird again, it would confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt what an absolute basket case that club has become.

Just when the club was finally getting some distance and fresh air between it and the drugs scandal, bringing Hird back would ensure that the issue never goes away for his entire tenure. The connection is too strong.

I can't believe Essendon fans aren't protesting outside Tullamarine against even the possibility of this move.
I so want him back!

Essendon is a gift that keeps on giving.

It's hilarious. James, what are your credentials? 3 Anzac day medals mate.

What about coaching?

Oh well, I got Essendon into an elimination final once.

What happened there?

We lost.

Anything else?

Well my W/L record is ALMOST 50%!

That's kinda ordinary. It says here in your resume that you were denied natural justice, what does that mean?

Oh well there was this little drug scandal thing where I got banned for a year and 34 players got suspended and the game was brought into a little bit of disrepute. But you see that was everyone's fault except me.

Oh right, well, good enough for us, you're hired!

Norm smith ..two time premiership player ..one as captain

I'd love to see him back at Essendon.

And I'd like to see him lead them to a flag (so long as the grand final opponent is not North).

Just to stick it up the tall poppy syndrome mouthbreathers who who do nothing but hate on people more successful than them.

The dude made a mistake, paid a massive price, as did his club.

Why continue to stick the boot in him?

Loser mindset, that's why.

Does that make him a good coach?

I guess Gary Ablett snr would be an amazing coach, after all he had a great list of playing achievements.

He also watched dozens of VFL games in last 2 years with his son Tom playing.

You have to admit that’s impressive

Robbo, if the great man isn't going to f*ck you even after you somehow manage to get these desperate love letters to him printed in the Herald Sun, he's not going to f*ck you for posting them on Bigfooty.

You all know (but won’t admit) that Hird is a highly intelligent, football mastermind who had just laid the foundations for a shiny golden Essendon era when his coaching career was cruelly cut by a pesky peptide enquiry.

The man is a living legend of the game.

You all know it.

Sheeds coup complete. Like I kept saying on our board's Clarko thread, it was all about their internals.

Sheeds says to Barham "What, are you gunna let povvo Norf get Clarko are ya, are you weak, are you a real Essendon man or not?" and the doddery old linament sniffer fell for it hook line and sinker and blew the joint up.

Sheeds then immediatley iced any Clarko play (which he knew was impossible anyway) and set to work picking off the anti Hird types one by one.

Now its going to Sheeds and Adrian with Sir James, Spike and Solomon again, just like the good old days in 2000.

Hilarious, but also well played Sheeds you cunning old sot.

I think Hird is twat...but I don’t hate Simon Madden...or even Glen Hawker.

So your logic is seriously flawed....probably because the horse you backed ended up being a donkey.

If that happens I'm done

Please! What they took is less effective than creatine or caffeine. Probably as effective as daily cryotherapy sessions.

And do you honestly believe that there isn’t a number of players doping currently? I would be staggered if there wasn’t one at every single club.
No one really cares about the performance enhancing properties. This is the cocktail of substances they gave the kids. There is no way they informed them of the potential risks to the short or long term health because most of them are not known. The kids couldn't have provided informed consent.

Tribulus is possibly safe for most people when taken at doses of 750-1500 mg daily for up to 90 days. Side effects are usually mild and uncommon, but might include stomach pain, cramping, and diarrhea. There isn't enough reliable information available to know if tribulus is safe to use for longer than 90 days or what the side effects might be.

Thymosin beta 4 (Tβ4) has been shown to be associated with tumor metastasis and angiogenesis; however, its role in pancreatic cancer has not been understood.

β-Lipotropin and γ-Lipotropin
Researchers have not studied the side effects of lipotropic injections. Information on side effects comes from anecdotal evidence from people who have used the injections for weight loss. Side effects may also vary from person to person.

Colostrum: While most people don't experience any side effects from bovine colostrum, there have been rare reports of problems in HIV-positive people such as nausea, vomiting, abnormal liver function tests, and decreased red blood cells. There is also some concern about the possibility of catching "mad cow disease" (bovine spongiform encephalitis, BSE) or other diseases from products that come from animals. "Mad cow disease" does not appear to be transmitted through milk products. But it is probably wise to avoid animal products from countries where "mad cow disease" has been found.
