What I dont understand is Vic teams who are looking to challenge soon (or now) with major defficiencies in tall players expecting it to magically fix itself.

Why didnt Carlton investigate a tall VFL forward? why didnt Hawthorn consider the best available VFL ruckmen or FB? they could of at least put these blokes on the rookie list.

And I know Carlton is kicking goals but they could do with another tall forward for flexibility with Waite and as a backup if injuries hit.

Pods has been fantastic, but it goes to show how much of a hack Shankins is. A 28you can be plucked out of 10 years in the VFL and instantly look like a superstar dominate the Cats mids delivering the ball on a platter.

Sometimes they dont give you a contested mark for marking on a lead with a defender on your backside arm extended half an inch away from spoiling. Im sure there are a number of these that the guy has taken as well as his contested marks, which means he is an even better mark then those stats sudjest.

Nobody has been more surprised by the Handbaggers little 3 year surge than handbag fans themselves, but now they have the harsh reality of returning to the depths they came from, a club that for most part of the last half century embraces anything that is half acceptable.

you beat an average side which most probably won't make finals, then lost to 3 dud teams and failed in the others.
