he's gonna deadset kill someone one game, it will be beautiful to watch. There are players taking the field now who are genuinely scared of him, he hits the contest with such pace it's scary.

He is sooo ferocious. He tries and runs through packs like a linebacker. Swinging hips and shoulders. He is a beauty :thumbsu:

The thing that separates Pets from other small forwards is ferociousness (as many have said).

Not only can he can chase and pressure opponents, but when he hits you, he can really hurt you. He hits the contest so hard that opponents tend to take their eye off the ball at the last moment, often resulting in a spillage or fumble.

Loved his attempt to take on 4 Geelong players at one point in the 3rd quarter.

Wonder what was going through his head when he kicked that goal with the banana kick off his right foot. Last week he tried it twice and got caught out both times, with his lack of a left foot hurting him. This week he tries it again.. and kicks a goal. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!

He hit Tex on the chest with a checkside off his right last week :thumbsu: If it works who cares what it looks like! :D

I used the analogy today that he's like Eddie Hocking. But with a Footy brain

he also did it round 1 against the GC

i'd rather he perfect this kick than be a shoddy left foot. there are plenty of our blokes who make me cringe when they go on their left.

from memory he also laced someone out inside 50 with his left, maybe in that game also. wasn't just a decent kick but a beautifully weighted balanced kick.

anyway that attack on the ball and motlop was inspiring. then he backed it up with a tackle, then (after he had no right to still be in the play) the ump calls for a bounce and it's petrenko again as the last crow to get up.

team lifting stuff today.

As Nathan Bassett said in the radio, its the best 15 possession game at 40% disposal efficiency you will every see.

Pets is a terrific little player and is now consistently playing the sort of footy he was always promising to do. The beauty is that he WILL get better which is a great thing for us.

Really seems to be loving his footy at the moment. The confidence is high and he's playing like a wrestling ball with a boot. He's got the right kind of body to play that ferocious style too, low centre of gravity and looks like he could bounce off a brick wall without breaking stride right now.

One of the most enjoyable players to watch going around :thumbsu:

He WILL get into trouble with this, and it'll cost us. Someday, somewhere it will happen eventually. But.....

His attack on the ball and the man yesterday was incredible. He is a little hard body... Starting to remind me a lot of a young Stiffy.

No pun intended.

I can recall plenty of occassions where lots of non confident 'wrong' footers have screwed it up, turned it over and it's cost us too. That's the game.

Porps, Callinen and Tex shooting for goal are the only players I have any confidence with on their wrong foot. The rest are barely average at best and shithouse at worst.

Not everyone is going to be a Darren Jarman, to his credit he has least worked out an alternative than trying to run around onto his right and kick a drop punt, how often do you see that result in getting caught. McCarthy at Port is the best example of that at the moment, no left foot, so he does the big circle (and gets HTB) or he pushes them wider.

Petrenko at least understands his limitations, which makes me thinks he at least thinks about what he is doing.

Attended the game yesterday like always and couldn't be more proud of how Pets is developing. Just watched the game again this morning and a few times in the game he reminded me of that game known as "chicken". He was absolutely fearless!. His third qrt efforts were spine-tingling stuff!!
