Yeah he kicked a huge goal in the SANFL GF. Highly skilled mature wingman.

I remember posting about him during the SANFL finals, he mentioned on a radio interview that a few AFL clubs were talking to him.

LIENERT WINS POWERADE STAR SEARCH AWARD

By ZAC MILBANK | Twitter @zacmilbank

Sturt’s Jarrod Lienert has become the first player from the Double Blues to win the Powerade Star Search Award.

The son of former Sturt defender Brett Lienert, Jarrod Lienert averaged 16.4 disposals and four marks in 17 games this season.

Measuring in at 195cm and 88kg, Lienert has gone from being a stay-at-home key defender to pinch-hitting in the ruck and starting on a wing.

The versatile bigman is originally from River Murray Football League club Imperials, which is based in part of Sturt’s regional zone of Murray Bridge.

Brett Lienert played 135 League matches and kicked 34 goals for the Double Blues between 1987 and 1994, with Jarrod now proudly sporting his No.27 guernsey.
