Guys can you please keep the thread on topic without the fascist and nazi references.
They are offensive to many and have no place here.

Ok but I didn't call him a nazi. I said he likes to shut down opposing views that he doesnt like so that his is the only one.

You've gone off half cocked. I didn't have an opinion in this thread. And I have shut down how many threads in my massive 20 posts. A big over reaction for some one small minded.

At the Moment he does but I think Grundy offers more around the Work.

Don’t think there much better Difference

Being Older helps

Grundy is also good at that but Witts is very good with that as a 209-210cm ruckman.

Witts did have a Great Game vs Mummy. Hope he Keeps it up

excellent editing and formatting....

So you are 1 of a Few that Think Grundy is a Bust?

Then how you explain his great form as a 21 Year Old?

I think you Underrate his Pace as a 203cm Ruckman. Who else is Tall and Quick outside of Nic Nat?

Ryder, but I agree Grundy isn't slow, and his burst speed out of the packs is pretty good.

How about we stop talking about Grundy in what's supposed to be a Toast thread for Witts?

There are plenty of other threads to compare their pros and cons in.

Back on topic, Witts will be extremely hard to stop once he develops his core enough to hold his ground in contests. Looking forward to seeing him dominate alongside Grundy for years to come :rainbow:

Dave I haven't even done any research and I can nominate Stanley, Blicavs, and Nicholls as being tall & quick.

Now I'm worried that impure ruckmen flogged our best options... in public to.

The Whole Cats side Flogged our side as well.

Doubt that would happen much at tall with Non-Ruckman

Finally watched the whole game and my opinion is that he did really well against a very experienced ruck for three quarters (Mumford off injured in the 4th).
Not too worried about marking as he was in a position to truly mark less than half a dozen times and possibly could have marked two and made a better spoil on one.
Love the way he positions his body at centre bounces and thought his below the knees work is better than some suggest, also liked his reaction time.

I just wonder whether he too has the fitness to ruck the majority of the time?

All in all we are in a very fortunate position to have two young men yet to hit their prime and I am looking forward to the development of both.

Yep, I'm also looking forward to the development of both players. People in this thread seem to think that Witts is some mature ruckman who is dominating the AFL. It's not true. He may turn out to be a superstar, but he'll be a very good ruckman.

I agree he did well limiting Mumford's impact on the game and he should get credit for that, this helped us win the game.

I still remember moments where he had the potential to impact on the game or was in a position where he could take a mark, but I felt the effort, commitment and execution was missing. If he wants to go up a level I feel he has to have more desire to actually impact the game, rather than trying to look like he is impacting. eg Going up for marks to get hands on it, rather than actually wanting to drag down the mark.

24 hours til my wish of mr witts playing the game of his life and outplaying the master of very big men sandilands.

It's time jarrod. NOW.

He would have to play 1 of the best games of ruck for a few years.

As Saindlands has Destroyed all the Rucks in the AFL

I am really looking forward to seeing how Witts goes.

A real opportunity for Witts to see how dominant he can become.
Hope he can play out of his skin and at worst reduce the effectiveness of lost taps to Sandilands as this will go a long way to helping our midfield get on top.

Go Jarrod!
