IMO Aka has only himself to blame for his sacking at the Lions and WB

Aka needs to learn that behaviour drives perception, so if Aka wants to change people's perception of him then he needs to change his behaviour....

however with that said, I'm sure Aka is happy for being Aka because being controversial is his signature and something that he will try and cash in on.....

Funny how Aker is hated for not fitting into the mould (and opening his mouth too much) while Warne bangs anything that moves (breaking his family up in the process... drug scandals etc also during his career) and is considered a national hero...

Warnie was a champion until the day he retired... Aker hasn't done anything to improve his legacy since his Brisbane days... he's been living off fumes for a while now

other than that, Warnie talks about the game, he talks tactics and he knows what he's talking about... Aker talks about "homosexuals and vicodin" eminem quote for those who don't know...

basically, Aker just talks trash and says things for the sake of controversy

Greetings Viewers

Just read Aker's book and I tried to keep an open mind. For the record, I thought that the blame/ responsibility for leaving the Lions was with Aker.

I read nothing in the book that swayed my opinion although by far the main focus was on his time with the Bulldogs.

As a high school teacher, I see daily how teenagers like making decisions, but a number are not prepared to accept the responsibility/ accountability when things don't turn out as planned.

Reading his book, I get this exact impression about one J Akermanis.

Regards

Dicko

Not comparing apples with apples. Warnie makes the odd dumb comment, but he doesn't come out deliberately manipulating situations and slagging people off. I don't admire the bloke that much because he has shown some pretty ordinary behaviour in his family life, but that is his business. Primarily he was just a bit stupid sometime (e.g. abusing the kid who took a photo of him smoking in NZ when he had the contract with nicobate or whoever). I also think he has improved his behaviour and media persona.

Aker comes cross as a completely selfish and foolish sensation chasing attention whore who intentionally tries to stir up shit for other people.
