Not to mention the fact that Norf were imploding at the time he made the call that he wanted out.

Sacked another coach. (3 in 3 years)
CEO 'stepping down'
Board disintegrating.
New coach embroiled in a racism scandal.
Ostracised by team mates.

I doubt there's a #1 pick who has had a worse experience at their new club.

Add failure to diagnose/treat his leg issues.

After watching the Becks doco and seeing how he got absolutely torched for England's elimination from the 98 world cup, really reminds me of the unfair treatment JHF has copped this year. The kid is 19, Becks was 23 when it happened. I dislike Ken to the next level, but his fatherly instincts would've helped jhf ride the wave throughout the year it seemed.

And a coach like McRae or Kingsley would not have? Coach (potentially) supportive of under attack player. What a guy.

Becks had a fatherly Fergie to help him through. Bit of a difference.

My comment was an observation not an opinion, I know Ken's a moron at the end of the day.

Point I'm trying to make is, when a player feels isolated they need that figure to guide them through. The guy can't guide his way through tactics but he knows how to get the players respect (which I don't understand especially after throwing them under the bus when we lost to GWS)

Tbh, those first 3 sound like paradise to me.

But that's different to sitting in a wheelie bin with 24 bags of crushed ice you had to go and get from the Arden Street bottle-o

Really hope Horne Francis spends as little time with Travis Boak as possible. Don't want the Mongrel single minded determination to be a winner to be sucked out of him.
I feel like JHF is on of the few that could actually benefit from that calming influence.

He has plenty of fire in the belly and that will never change. Sometimes it is to the detriment of the team.

The greats learn to channel it and play right on that edge without going over (too much) and losing focus.
