Said he was one of the hardest most physical players he'd seen at his age.

Thought he was great today.

Was great today. Made a few mistakes in what was at times a very high intensity game but did a lot more better things under the same circumstances. Definitely a young player who could make an impact come finals.

Jed is just the type you need in the finals, hard nut with very good skills and that unknown ability that the opposition pay little attention to. He was in my 22 as was Hill at the start of the season.

Very different types of players......Hill more an outside runner.
Hill was very good earlier in the year but might just be tiring late in the year.
Remember it is only his second season.

I'm not talking positionally.. Puopolo is an automatic selection, his ability to chase, pressure is absolutely required in the finals. Hills ability to fumble under pressure, miss targets, shirk contests will not be missed. We can get enough run from Smith, Birch, Whitey, Pop, Breust, Burgoyne, Rioli...

We missed Poppy's tenacity today... His pressure acts really restrict the easy flow of opposition ball from end to end. Kangas were able to cut us up at times without a lot of the pressure and we will need him in finals.

Oh, and Jed is a gun!

Exactly. At the game gives you an appreciation of just how much this kid runs & the amount of ground he covers.
Absolutely busts a gut , he stays for mine !
