If you look at the wide angle and see where the umpire is running in from, it's as much his fault as Cameron's which is why I suspect they didn't even fine him
No. The is umpire running to the goals to collect the ball as instructed & after play has stopped & the Field Umpire has signaled All Clear. He would have done that thousands of times before. There is no reason here why the umpire can't be inside the boundary line under these circumstances. He should have every right to expect that no one will negligently run into him. Cameron is not watching & totally negligent with this incident. The umpire Cameron collided with has done more than 260 AFL Games, at least 4 grand finals and 2 x All Australian so he would know what he is doing.
