If Hogan wants to truly recover from this mental illness as well it's in his best interest to give up the drugs and to ease back on the alcohol quite a bit. Sure that may not be the whole problem but it's a decent chunk of it. The sooner he gets away from the party lifestyle and dedicates his time to getting better the sooner we can see him back out there, hopefully soon enough, and hopefully the fans welcome him back warmly with a big round of applause at his first home game back.

that was another Belly lie

just like the ' there was no drugs or alcohol involved'
(even though some freo supporters are trying to deny it or play dumb)

IMO the 'clinical anxiety' quote was just the club trying to quickly put out a statement that Hogan's anxiety/mental health was something that had been assessed (and hopefully was being supported) by recognised professionals. It was still a dumb mistake but it wasn't exactly a watergate-style coverup. Again its an IMO but I do believe that Bell wanted to walk away from the Hogan deal (as reported) but he got overruled by people hopefully finally moved on.

As for Hogan, unless you know the guy we are all just pissing in the wind (yes me 100% included) ... and within that context the odds are heavily in favour of a combination of mental health and drug use.... f***ing shock horror there.

Thanks, Captain.

One of the biggest wastes of natural talent.

Hogan, Watts, Petracca, Toumpas, Gysberts, Tapscott, Blease, Strauss, Morton, Grimes

All first/early second round talents that never hit their potential and a common theme amongst them

Pretty poor comparison, Hogan has been genuinely good when hes played (better form for Melbourne than Freo albeit). He aint retired yet and has missed a lot football due to a foot injury. Personal issues aside.

This threads is about a Freo player and his suspected substance abuse and the effect it having on his career.
Keep on topic!

Yeah the fact he was at Melbourne developing until he was 23 is completely unrelated, my bad

Ooh, another supporter from the drug addled eagles looking to deflect. Hahaha.

Struggling with the idea that it IS a Freo player!!

You do realise he can be both a former Melbourne player and current Freo player right champ? They aren't mutually exclusive.

That's great man, what's that got to do with how Melbourne developed those players? Maybe don't assume everything is about drugs and other substances

But hey if you really want to go there, Buddy, Injunctions, Travis Tuck etc

Every club has skeletons if you go digging in closets hard enough
