Did what was needed against a bottom 4 team. We have a challenge next week, you're "going to Hobart" to boo a player who left your club.

Hey speaking of sad.

Who said I'm going to boo him?

Sad is never seeing your team win a flag. I've literally been at the MCG for 4 of them. And I also went in 1997. LOL.

Yes, I'm an old campaigner. But I will always have it over Saints supporters.

I don't understand why people have to post 'bookmarked', what are you trying to prove by saying that? Just bookmark a post if you need to and move on instead of trying to make some kind of faux statement.

It's pretty simple, Ted. When you post that, you're letting the person know that you'll get back to them when they're proven wrong.

And if they're not.............................................

Good point. In these circumstances, you probably remove the bookmark.

I think both Cunnington and Zurhaar will be good next week, so talk of ruining their careers is absolute rubbish. But we'll see, won't we?

There is the slight chance Cunnington plays well and Zurhaar doesn't shank it from backside to breakfast I guess... none of that equates to winning though lol

I don't expect us to beat Port, but I think we'll show good signs. Our best chance is if Zurhaar has a day out. Which he's done before in Hobart.

Agreed, this goes against the grain of the thread but I hope Cunnington plays out the season well but Yeehaar can eat a fair old satchel of appendages.

Essendon coach Brad Scott has urged fans to show sportsmanship and refrain from booing Jason Horne-Francis during their AFL clash.

"We want to win. We want to be competitive. We want to be combative.
"But we want to do it in the right manner, and sportsmanship is a big part of the way that we want to go about it.

"We want to be really humble when we win, but we want to be gracious in defeat as well.
"If we approach it that way then booing individual players is not the way we want to go about it."
Hats off to the Bombers fans. Class.

It’s not offensive, it’s just been used to muddy the waters around the “not the real port” argument. “Power not the magpies” etc. The fact that people try to use it as a troll is schoolyard level stuff and quite frankly embarassing.
I feel that it's a distinction that not even the majority of the Port Adelaide Power supporters are worried about, let alone the whole league.

I totally agree. I think that some port fans are still a bit self conscious about the whole power Maggie’s thing, which was a shit show when we entered the league and was rectified with the one club campaign, and it’s only kept alive by people trying to score internet points. I just find it funny that no one uses terms like the “gold suns” or the “saint saints” or the “west eagles”. Because it’s only done to get a rise out of port fans.

I dunno. Adelaide is longer to type and say. It's just a convenience. We use GCS for Gold Coast. Or Suns. GWS for GWS. Different ways to refer to things evolve differently.

Gerard Healy learnt not to get crafty with the Gold Coast Suns name

Don’t know. Like I said it doesn’t get my back up, I couldn’t care less about the immature trollish things people do. Similar to calling north “norf”. It just makes no sense to me. I was just pointing out why I think people use it and why some port fans find it frustrating.
