So? we have Rozee, Butters and Wines in the midfield, JHF plays in the same midfield as them to average 6 odd clearances per game. Last year JHF finished just outside top 20 in Brownlow votes. Lets see where Wardlaw finishes this year? to say he has gone past JHF based on one average game from JHF and one 30 disposal game is nothing but ludicrous. Sure he might have a great future, but that's not the point.

This is correct. Essendon will make the 8 this year, and probably the next few years. But they do not have the bones in the list to compete for a flag. Brad Scott loves this approach.

You mean Sheezel is the best player out there by that metric? or Sam Walsh in his first 3 years? I'd take a high clearance/contested 25 possession player than a 35 possession uncontested player.

Have you seen Daicos' clearance/contested numbers over Sheezel? it's not about the number of possessions. Vast majority of Sheezels disposals are uncontested. Half of Daicos' touches are contested.

You have destroyed your own argument. 30 touches mean **** all. Look at Harley Reid's touches, every single of them is gold. JHF had 6 clearances and 21 disposals in a week where the midfield got obliterated.

Sheezel averaged 6.8 in his first year and he's on 8.6 this year. He's averaged 11.5 in the past 4 games. Daicos didn't get a run of 4 games of above 10 CP's until round 18 of his second year. Sheezel is tracking as well as Daicos and sure Daicos is a freak but there is no reason Sheezel cant take his game to another level.

Sooky Sooky Mummys Boy is averaging 10.9 this year, and only averaged 9 last year. Last week was a typical meh game from Wife Basher Admirer. 3 missed goals cause he cant handle pressure.
