In this universe, Jason is constantly hounded under the pressure of a rabid Victorian /AFL media pack (incl Hawthorn ex players like Lewis, Hodge, Brereton, etc) and incessant booing by crowds almost exclusively from Victoria.

Just doesn’t have the heart to live up to his potential, one tackle at 3/4 time in a prelim isn’t good enough.

The guy is another cream on top player. Looks good when the going is good but cannot win a game off his own boot.

doesn’t have the tank to play midfield full time yet but you can’t question his heart or attack on the footy.
can absolutely win games off his own boot but can go missing too due to the burst nature of his game and the way Port use him.

Still seems to go missing for large parts of the game.
He had something like 10 touches in the first quarter, then it was 14 by nearly 3/4 time. Must have then had a bunch in the final term when the game was almost done.
Maybe he's still building fitness and experience, but it must be starting to get a bit frustrating for Port fans that he goes through such extremes.

He did the same thing against Geelong. Had about 9 by 3/4 time and then the same amount in the last quarter when the game was finished and the heat was out of the game.
He’s a good player but didn’t have a good finals series.

Body of work over 3 seasons continues to say “yeah”.
Disposals, contested, DE…Marks, Metre gained..
One stood up in his first finals.
One went missing again. Not one GA medal vote in 5 finals.
Bloke was “born” for Sept is what we all had rammed down our throats.
Our coach likes to move him deep forward when we’re struggling to find avenues to goal which then leaves him to watch the ball bouncing around upfield as a spectator
